There are thousands of decoys and well as signage explaining the history of decoys and how they're made. At $8/adult, it's an interesting little museum to visit once if you're visiting town. A fun way to learn a little about Chesapeake Bay history and culture.

I really have to say that the Concord Point Lighthouse is great advertising for Havre De Grace…read more The honey and I needed a stop on our way to Delaware/Philadelphia and I looked up points of interest along the way - enter in the lighthouse and the town of Havre De Grace. The lighthouse is part of a mid sized park. At one point someone carved beautiful wood statues of local avian wildlife for each of the columns that line the dock, however there's also a larger bird sculpture, a little free library (empty when we visited) and a trail leading off to the adjoining wetlands. We likely never would have stopped and walked around downtown Havre De Grace without the lighthouse but we did enjoy the local decor for Halloween and the chance to stretch our legs before the last leg of our journey north. Overall, if you need a peaceful little detour, this town and the Concord Point Lighthouse are definitely a good one to make.

Then I found Turkey Hill Ice cream Experience only 30min away from Lancaster, and decided to visit. We bought the double scoop experience (comes with ice cream test lab) and obviously that was the highlight of the place! The test lab is about 45min experience and the whole thing with self-guided tour takes about 1hr 30min to 2 hours depending how crowded it is. The visit was fun and of course my 5-year-old daughter had a great time eating tons of ice cream!

Admission prices are reasonable, and who doesnt love unlimited samples of iced tea, and lemonade, icecream on a hot day. Vistors have a choice between one scoop, two scoop, or three scoop attraction. I choose one scoop; hilights of my visit- learning history of Turkey Hill, process of icecream being made, creating a virtual icecream flavor, watching the production , live from interactive camera in one of the exhibits. Be sure to take the few moments, to watch the introduction video. My favorite ice cream sample flavors were Graham Slam & Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. An attraction must, well visiting Lancaster, PA. My recommendation would be too sell a few more flavors that you offer , with unlimited tastings. My favorite was orange icedtea.

APG has very few soldiers on it, and has a very heavy civilian population. There are Marines and, I believe, some Air Force here as well. If you're interested in visiting APG, visitors need to use the Maryland gate, route 715. If you come in via the 22 gate you'll be forced to make a u-turn and all of the cars coming in will be stopped while you do so - giving us ample time to glare at you angrily.

The Society was founded in March 1932 and is the oldest exclusively model railroad club in the United States. They maintain 2,500 square feet of model railroad displays of steam and diesel freight and passenger trains and trolleys, plus so much more. It was fun to see all the parts of the display - it really gives you a glimpse into the history of railroading. It is not easy to find, as the doorway is tucked into the left front center of the building and the society is located on the third floor with no elevator. The display is normally open on the second Sunday of each month, except May.

It was big, not battered too much, and tasty. However, everything else was an exercise in starch. When I ordered the gator balls, I expected to get the flavor of gator rather than potato. It came with these round slices and fried potatoes. There were more potatoes than gator, and they charged $15 for it. The lobster mac and cheese was, by far, the worst. Again, they charged $15. It looked great but had NO flavor. Even the lobster had no flavor. The same can be said for the lobster roll. I just returned from Portland, Maine, so this was not gonna live up to it. Still, it wasn't even close. There was no seasonings or flavor, or even options like drawn butter or chipotle mayo.
