Jeffrey Sterling prepared my 2016 Tax Returns for me and I couldn't be more pleased. The tax preparer, a CPA, that I had used for the over 40 years passed away, so it really set me into a panic in finding someone because my taxes can often become rather complicated. However, I meet with some of the Sterling Tax and Accounting Services staff and they seemed fully up to speed, were professional, polite, knew what it was I was talking about and able to give me some good advice with regards to future tax setups. But better yet, their all just nice down to earth friendly people. I was also impressed by the fact that Sterling Tax and Accounting Services files your taxes electronically. I had never seen this done or had known how it worked before, but trust me, it is so much better than all of those papers and mailings I once had to put up with. Then besides just doing my taxes, checked into some of my past dealings with the IRS, noted I might be entitled to a penalty refund, requested it and got it for me. This was a big win for me as I had just dismissed any chances of getting a refund, no matter the payment made wasn't really due, as out of the question hopeless. But to my delight, Sterling Tax and Accounting Services got my refund for me. read more

I was originally a bit intimidated to call them because the few people I had contacted at other firms acted as if they were too busy with their bigger clients to help me out. I purchased a certificate on Angie's List. The next morning I opened my email looking for the information that Angie's list had sent me so that I could give them a call. I had the total opposite experience. Would give no stars but that wasn't an option. We used them for Property Management and they billed for services they did not provide. Pretended to cut a tree and billed us- even took money directly out of our account without consent. Pretended to change a door or patch a ceiling- billed us and didn't do the work. We are now in the middle of investigating it all. God knows how bad it will be. But definitely would NOT recommend them to anyone. Burn your money instead. Less painful. read more
