I came across yourweddingmagic.net (YWM) / Jason (DJ Breez), through a referral from my daughter's…read morewedding planner. She said that she had enjoyed working with him and his amazing team on a couple of past events, she said that he provided DJ service, photography, videography, photo booths, etc., basically that he was a one-stop-shop. Unfortunately, she told me all of that a little too late, I had already hired and paid for the DJ, and my daughter had already hired a videographer (a friend of my now son in law), however, he does not do photography only videography, so he referred me to someone else, of course there was no discount for hiring this recommended photographer, no bundle or package, just two separate vendors with two separate high price tags. So, I took a chance and called Breez, to get a quote for just his photography service, he was so easy to talk to that I ended up explaining my predicament to him. He was so understanding, so empathetic, and just so wonderful. His personality was astonishing, and his laugh was infectious. He did not come off as pushy at all, he came across as incredibly confident in his work. He sent me several samples of his photos and videos and took the time to tell me about the awesome stories behind some of them. I instantly knew that this was the guy that I wanted and needed to capture my daughter's wedding day. He quoted me for just his photography service, like I had asked him to. Then he went above and beyond and quoted me his price for doing BOTH the videography and the photography services, just so I could get a clearer picture of how much more quality work I could buy for a lot less money simply by using him for both services. After showing my kids his work and telling them his price, it was settled, we hired YWM. For months prior to the wedding, Jason called and texted to check on us and see how we were doing. He reassured me not only that the pictures and videos were going to be great but the whole day was, he could feel my stress and he cared enough to calm me. I have found a friend in him for life, and I am so grateful that God crossed our paths. On the morning of my daughter's wedding day, Breez and his team arrived promptly and professionally, and then they divided and conquered. Adnan, the videographer/producer/director, went to the venue where the guys were getting ready. Kiara, the photographer/coordinator, went to the Airbnb where the girls were getting ready. Breez was going back and forth between all the locations, including the church, doing boss things, snapping pictures, and ensuring that nothing was missed. I can't stress enough how amazing this team was/is, they reunited at the church seamlessly and worked together flawlessly, they worked behind the scenes with the church coordinator and the priest, to make sure they understood the church rules and they didn't break them. They kept in constant communication with myself and my kids from the beginning while we were getting ready, at the church, and at the reception, to make sure that they were delivering the kind of pictures we actually wanted. At the reception, you never even noticed them, they were everywhere, but they didn't interrupt the actual party. The kids, the wedding party, the guests, and even the venue staff members were having an amazing time and this team just captured the naturalness of it all. These three amazing humans, Jason, Adnan, and Kiara, never looked tired, frustrated, or put out, from the beginning of the morning to the bubble send off, they maintained their positive energies and their bright personalities stayed sharp, which kept everyone involved happy and smiling the entire day and night. I cannot thank you guys enough for capturing all the extra candid moments that are normally missed and for capturing fun, creative, and unique photos and videos along with the traditional ones that we will cherish forever. Thank you so much for everything.

DO NOT HIRE! Would give 0 stars if I could!!…read more We were married on September 20th and hired Jason for our wedding DJ, photography, and videography services. We paid our balance in full prior to the wedding, as requested. Unfortunately, the experience after the wedding has been extremely stressful and disappointing. Jason spoke a lot about his quick turnaround time before we booked, which was one of the reasons we chose him. However, that has not been our experience. In addition, we never saw the assistant that was included in our package, and the day-of coordinator did not ensure our requested photo list was shared with the photographer, which led to some frustrations on the wedding day as well. We are now six months after our wedding date and still do not have our uncut and edited wedding video, and several items took repeated follow-ups just to receive. Communication has been very inconsistent, and many of the timelines we were given for receiving our photos and video have not been met. Over the past several months we have tried to remain patient and understanding, but it has been very difficult not knowing when we will actually receive the rest of what we paid for. These are once-in-a-lifetime memories that couples trust their photographer and videographer to capture and deliver. At this point, we are simply hoping to receive the remaining deliverables in full and in the quality that was promised. I would strongly encourage couples considering booking to make sure clear delivery timelines and expectations are included in writing before signing a contract or better yet book with someone else. ETA: Just discovered that he played the wrong song for my girls to walk down the aisle to. I talked to him 2 days before the wedding to go over everything and put it in the app like he asked well ahead of time. The morning of our wedding he text me asking about what songs I wanted played for our entrances. He had the correct songs, wrong order so I told him the correct order. I shouldn't be having that type of conversation the morning of. He still managed to skip the song all together and played the same song for my husband and girls to walk down to. ETA: May 2026 - ended up having to take to small claims court. We won the case, but will probably never get our money from him unfortunately. Have been able to hire the videographer to edit the video for us, for a price of course, since Jason didn't pay him their agreed upon price.

My husband and I found Dj Bones, Jimi, very early in our planning process and when we reached out…read moreto we really enjoyed our phone call with him. He seemed to have good energy and listened to all our wants and needs. We continued to talk with him through the whole planning process and really thought we were all on the same page and Jimi was a great match. Two days before the wedding he called us and we finalized all of our requests. We were also then informed that there was an issue with our slideshow. I had to make this slideshow myself, which was fine but it took time and work on top of everything else, and I was told by Jimi he had been at our venue a few times and how he would be able to project a show for us for $200 extra dollars. Two days before he told us he didn't realize he couldn't fit his screen in our venue and instead of a projector screen or even a large TV. The slideshow was played on a small screen/maybe a 26 inch TV, he just lifted up real high in the air. It was the last of my worries at this point in the process but if I would have known I would never have paid $200 for a tacky set-up. Come the day of the wedding, we were completely blindsided by what we got. It started when Jimi injured himself during set-up, we all were very concerned for him but right off we could tell it put him in a bad mood. Then at the ceremony Jimi and his wife, who works as his partner, did not mic up my husband, the microphone was dead. The ceremony was supposed to be recorded, it was even included in the price for everything. Then to deal with the situation they went to my husband in the middle of all the chaos of pictures, the ceremony and nerves to tell him about it. Instead of going to anyone else, like a parent or the planner. They got very emotional and panicked and it caused more nerves and stress on my husband. Probably the worst mistake for me was my aisle walk song. Like the most important song next to the first dance, if not the most important song, was WRONG. I specifically had a conversation weeks before the wedding with Jimi to make sure he found the exact song I requested. We went back in forth through text about it, and he still played the complete wrong song. I think it was the same artist but I had never heard the song in my life and it was a heartbreaking disappointment to be honest. Moving on to the reception, it was a total fail from our point of view. The guests enjoyed themselves and danced but Jimi did not play more than MAYBE one song from our Bride & Groom requests list (which we spent hours and days on to make perfect) Jimi said he would play them and use that as a base for the rest. He would eventually take requests from guests but even he said if it didn't go along with our style he wouldn't even play it. We talked about our style and he acted like he understood and we even said no line dances. I almost wondered if he lost our information or mixed it up because it was the complete opposite. He played every line dance you think of, some of them twice and he played all country music when we asked for Latin and club music. Before I left this review I wanted to give Jimi a chance so I brought my concerns to his attention. When I pictured my wedding the most important things to me was my family, an open bar and good music. Music and dancing is a big deal to me and my family. I wanted to give Jimi the chance to understand this disappointment and explain what happened. When I presented his mistakes to him, he took it very lightly and offered me way less than what it all equates to and also really tried to guilt me into pitying him in this situation. I never like to leave bad reviews or barely speak up for myself but in this case I felt like it was necessary. When I explained the depth the issues had to me, he completely ghosted me. It's been almost 3 full weeks now and he has not gotten back to me. For us, it is not about the money it was about how much we put into this and it was "our big day" and he had his one role, a very important one and this is what he does, and he really failed us. I don't want someone else to be distracted by his big personality and expect to get what they want from him, or for him to not take the responsibility when he does make a mistake. I would stick to the list of vendors your venue or planner give to you. All the vendors that they recommended worked hard for us and were lovely guests to have at our wedding!

Chris was extremely responsive, kind, and fun to work with. Music is really important to us, so we provided a very extensive list of songs we wanted him to play (probably 4+ hours worth of music, haha). He played these songs and other songs that fit into the entire vibe of our wedding day. There was no song that we didn't love and we had many guests come up to us, complimenting him. Chris was a thoughtful and smooth MC, making sure the day was about us. He also cut two songs we wanted for our first dance since he also produces his own music, which was awesome. Also, Chris had everything he needed to set up his own DJ booth and lighting (which we didn't know if we wanted/needed, but ultimately loved!!). He was very professional and experienced. If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding, you'd be lucky to work with him!! We appreciate you, Chris!

We met with him on zoom a couple times before our wedding to discuss our songs, wants, and needs for the wedding and he went above and beyond expectations. He suggested ways to add to our entrance with our bridal party and even coordinated with them all what to do for the entrance, brought lights to make the dance floor and overall atmosphere look even better, and was so friendly and easy to work with. We can't say enough great things about him! If you are looking for an experienced, friendly, well priced, and overall great person and DJ then we recommend hiring him! The guests were texting us the next day raving about how great our DJ was and how much they enjoyed his song choices and they also loved that he had a QR code so they could request songs!

That's right, we booked Sugar Hill Gang in 2002. What can I say? We had a limited budget. Flash forward 15-years to a much older but not much less clueless me on the hunt for a DJ for our wedding. I immediately remembered how easy it was to work with Vinny and reached out with that awkward "Heyyyyyy, I don't know if you remember me, but..." email. I'm happy to report he remembered me and was as happy to reconnect as I was. During our consultation, we reminisced about the good old times (musicians are full of shenanigans, y'all) and marveled at how much Split Second Sound has grown. Theirs is a story of hard work and determination paying off! When I first worked with Vinny in 2002, he was operating SSS out of his garage. From the personalized chalk board sign welcoming us for our first consultation to their interactive website where you can provide details for run of show, must-play songs along with don't-you-dare-play songs, everything was a pleasure with them. We loved our DJ Anthony and his assistant Danielle. They were fun and interactive and probably most importantly kept us on track all night long!
