We have tried multiple places but due to either driving distance or the atmosphere of the office I was unhappy. Yesterday my children had their consultation visits, x rays and cleaning at Dr. Shinebarger's office. From the minute we walked in I felt comfortable. The staff was amazing, we were greeted by Erica at the front desk. Then we saw Lindsey for X-rays and the consultation. After that we got to meet Dr. Shinebarger who sat down and talked with us for a lot longer than most dentists who fly in, look in your kids mouth and walk out then charge you $70. This dentist was like no other! He talked to the kids, did a very thorough exam and made them both feel comfortable. When my ten year old smiles and says I really like this place -while at a dentist office?! Then you know it's right. Both of my children had cleanings done by Heather who did an amazing job. I was impressed by all the staff and I felt so relieved when we left because I found an office close to home with a friendly staff that I can trust which is not an easy thing to find these days. I would highly recommend this office to any person or family that is looking for good dental care!

Sadly, I cannot recommend this Dentist. His office does not process Insurance claims and payment is…read moreexpected at the time of service. The problem is his prices seem to continually rise. I have been quoted one price, and then at the time of the procedure it was higher. I was with this Dentist for over 10 years because he's supposed to be the "Gentle Dentist." For the most part he is - but the pain of trying to pay my bill far outweighed his care. He does not like to pull teeth, and will put filling after filling into your teeth, even building existing fillings up bigger. The last time he did this to one of my teeth it broke and I had to find an Emergency Dentist to pull the tooth because Dr. Meyer was conveniently out of town. He has trouble finding staff, so the wait list for an appointment is terrible. The new Staff members he does have seem to lack the training they should have and seem incompetent at times. The Office is dated, but clean, but again sadly I cannot recommend this Dentist. If you choose to use this Dentist anyway be prepared to not only empty your pockets but your bank account also.

So until I was able to get my and make the payment in full, I was not going to be able to get finished product on my teeth or return to at all ever again.
