Very pleased with SCE. Jason and Vladimir showed up on time this morning. They installed two ceiling fans. One replaced an existing fan; while the other was a new location. The new location required cutting a hole in the ceiling, anchoring the new fan to the ceiling joists, running new wire, and fishing it thru an existing fire block in the wall to the wall switch location. All the work was done very well. There were no extra holes cut in the walls, which would have required patching, texturing, and painting. When they were done it was all cleaned up, vacuumed, and the furniture put back in place. If I had to grade the quality of their work, I would give them an A+. We recently purchased a home with multiple electrical issues that needed to be addressed. Steve Carter Electirc has been our go to electrician for many years. Our latest project was having them install a Quiet Cool whole house fan. We were given a fair price and had the work done. The guys that did the job were prompt, got the job done and cleaned up so there was no sign they had even been doing such a major job. The fan is great! Quiet as the name implies. It pulls the cooler outside air into our home once the temp outside drops which is perfect living iat the beach. We did not want to go with complete AC and I think this will be the perfect answer to those few hot weeks at the beach and save us alot on energy costs. We can run it on low all night long (it only using 64Watts of energy) and start the day out with a nice cool home. read more

We have used Steve for two jobs so far. We were so pleased with his diagnostic skills on the first job. We had no idea what or where the problem was. He figured it out and fixed it. We haven't had a problem since then and this was over 2 years ago. The second job was to put in recessed lighting. I called Steve Carter after less than stellar responses from other contractors. The 5 star reviews are definitely accurate. Theresa was very responsive and even had a sense of humor when dealing with me over the phone getting things set up! She was great. Bob came out, gave me the estimate to install a ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling where there was currently no electricity. They came out on the agreed upon day, and installed the fan, creating less holes in the ceiling than anticipated (which is much appreciated!) They cleaned up after their work and the estimate was pretty close to the final cost. I would definitely use them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician. They will now be my preferred electrician for future needs. read more
