I was told at that time that that day's cleaning was not going to be covered but I was not told that I had a balance due. I was advised by Nina that I could reschedule for after the year end and I did. January 11, 2024, I go in and still don't know I have a balance due from an October claim. I arrive at 2:30, at 3:15 I am told that I have a balance due from 3 months prior and that they don't mail out requests for payments until EOM January. (The service was from September and the claim was processed in October. I cannot believe it takes 3 months to bill someone. So now I've made two visits without being seen. The office manager told me to come to the back to discuss the matter and that it was now 3:30 ( I was there for an hour now) and I would not be receiving services. I told them I thought they were horribly unprofessional and the Office Manager told me that I should find another dentist.

I called back and encounter another angry office person by the name of Melissa who also slammed the phone down on me. This is unacceptable in a place of business. I don't care if your dental practice does not offer an emergency service, but how can you advertise everywhere that this is one of your perks....AND NOT HAVE IT? Called the "24-hour emergency answering service" throughout the night last night, and the message was "We're sorry, no one is available to take your call," without even a message service. Seriously. And the worst part is, not ONE dentist in St. Louis -- all of whom advertise emergency services -- have called us back: - Viva Smiles - Wolken Dental - Premier Dental in the CWE - Clayton Dental - Sevens Dental And let's not forget Emergency Dentist 24x7 whose entire business is based on their "network of fully staffed dental offices available all day, every day, even on holidays." Don't say you have a presence in St. Louis when you are not able to serve up anyone who can help. Unbelievable. 12 hours later, and not ONE has returned our emergency message or page.
