I found Steven's company on yelp. I requested an estimate for main panel replacement. He was very responsive, easy going and professional. Initially that is... Estimate came in quickly and was reasonable so I agreed to proceed to do the work. Steven did all the communicating with Southern California Edison and I was never cced on emails or looped in despite requesting to be. As replacement date neared I contacted steven a few days before to discuss details. He informed me the need to reschedule as too close to labor day. I said ok no problem. A few days before second replacement date Steven dropped by looked over the panel again and told me everything was on for 9/16/25 at 8am with SCE scheduled to come disconnect power with him completing the job same day and SCE to reconnect. Sounded great I made arrangement for the family to be out of the house all day. Long story short no one showed up, not steven not SCE. I called and texted steven multiple times, left voicemail with no response. I gave him 24 hours benefit of the doubt just in case something unforeseen occurred. Nothing. I finally reached out to SCE to see if I was ever on their schedule. I was told that I was scheduled both times and the electrician cancelled last minute both times . Most recently I was told that the electrician told SCE that he is not rescheduling and simply canceling with no intention of doing the job. Where was that communication with me? Steven, this has been one of the most unprofessional interactions I have been involved in. If the job was too big , too small, too medium, too complex, not complex enough, you are too busy, not busy enough all you had to do was say so. Instead you wasted my time for over one month and I am left having to do this all over again with a different company. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I have never spent the time leaving a bad review on yelp but this one was warranted. read more

Steven was a referral from a nearby neighbor and he did a wonderful job for me. We needed to reroute some conduit after I had my roof replaced and we also needed to delete the original 1932 electrical panel and reroute the wiring. I had a very similar experience with another reviewer, it seems. I initially called and left a voice message, indicating I had some electrical work to be done and was seeking an estimate. A week later I got a text indicating that we could set up a time to have a look and get an estimate. Steven came, we talked about the job (a few days of straightforward work), and he said he'd get me an estimate in a day or two. He was interested in the job, and I found him to be very competent and pleasant. I anticipated I'd hire him and things would go well. Then...nothing. I never got an estimate and he did not return messages that I sent a week (phone) and 10 days (text) later. In the end, this was just a waste of my time and very unprofessional. read more

Answered initial Yelp project query in a very timely manner. Clear communication over Yelp and text message. Set appointment Friday 3pm at a time of their choosing. They never showed. Made four requests to explain no show and reschedule in the last week over Yelp, telephone and text messages -- all unreturned. Perhaps took another project or went out of business? Very confusing. As of this posting I am still waiting for any response. After searching for electricians through yelp, I called Steven Gratigny Electric. Several outlets were out and resetting my breakers didn't seem to fix my issue. Steven replied within the hour and came by my home after work the next day. He looked into it and quickly solved my issue on the spot. He was very kind, patient, and explained his process to me.
