We were coming back from a road trip and feeling kinda hungry, so we stopped in for lunch. Again, we weren't disappointed. We'd been here before a few years ago and had enjoyed our meal then. We figured we'd try it again. They had a number of lunch specials; hubby opted for the turkey lunch with potatoes and sides. I opted for the fish and chips. Service, as before, was super friendly and you felt as though you'd been going there for years. First they plunk down their solid, warm slice of bread. We're not bread eaters, but who could say no to this? I got a side salad which was full of fresh and crisps fixings. A great start. Lunch came. Husband devoured his turkey meal. I'm more of a London beer-battered fish and chips, but theirs was very good. Great seasonings, fresh fish, and the fries were well-seasoned. Servings were generous. Prices reasonable. Definitely still good, and definitely will come back again... hopefully won't be waiting a couple of years before we do. read more

I came for lunch with my parents on a regular Sunday. We were seated immediately and service was good. The bread is always a must try here and I had the fried fish for the first time. It honestly looks underwhelming but it's a good deal since it came with a cup of soup and fries. They had chicken rice soup that day and it was amazing. Food was hot and it did not take long after ordering to get our meal. No complaints overall. It's a casual spot so you can't have high expectations but for what it is it's good. read more

We happened to be running errands early one day and decided to try Steve's Diner since our regular diner is closed on Mondays. It's a nice place, old-fashioned diner in a strip mall. Quite a lot of people there. It was actually hubby's birthday and he was SO excited they had "real" country ham, not "city" ham. He loved it and enjoyed his whole meal. Breakfast for me was very healthy - bacon and coconut cream pie (my fave pie and always my breakfast choice if it's available ). The bacon was amazing (wish I knew the secret ingredient to make it thus good - brown sugar maybe???). The pie was ok, but the topping was not a true homemade meringue so not as good as I had hoped). I hear they have rhubarb pie on occasion though so when we go back for hubby's country ham, I'll try something else next time. Our server (maybe Crystal?) was great! read more

It's been way too long..... my sister used to live out this way so we would come here all the time. Always great food and service. After many years we were so happy to see they where still here and even more happy to see the same amazing service, delicious huge portions at a great value. We enjoyed everything we ate. Wish we where in town longer so we could have had lunch or dinner here as well. Make sure to get some home made bread instead of toast for breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection. 1/2 biscuit with gravy, scrambled eggs and home fries was absolutely delicious. I don't understand why they call it 1/2 biscuit? It's actually a whole biscuit cut in half with both halves covered in delicious gravy. Ask for Elisha, she is awesome and very pleasant. read more

The service and food were good but they are not clear on state law allowing service dogs only that are on a leash and on the floor not on the furniture. I love dogs but a dog that's allowed by the food and other people that are eating is unsanitary. Group of us met here for lunch and I had the grilled chicken salad for the first time. It was ok I guess but it wasn't spectacular in any way shape or form. Order two Thanksgiving dinners as a carry out I was told the items on the dinner was to be turkey stuffing string beans mashed potatoes cranberry and soup.. When I got home there was no cranberry... The food was good. Homemade bread used for French toast was great! Cristo mushroom Swiss sandwich was good but mushroom and onion were not sautéed which would have been better.
