We are heading into year 2 using them and we are really happy with the services provided thus far. The owner is very informative so you always know what is being applied to your lawn and why and he is also incredibly flexible as far as customizing your lawn care. For example this past fall we added chickens and as such no longer want to add any chemical applications to the back yard where they free range. I was worried it would be an issue to treat only the front yard but Steve had no problems adjusting our plan of action to keep our whole yard looking great while keeping our chickens safe. His sons that come to do the treatments are always professional, courteous and here when they say they will be. I moved to Bridgewater 2 1/2 years ago and found Prisco's, and the owner of Steve's lawn care, Steve Prisco and it was a cool little place for good food. He said his main business was lawn care but I had always taken care of it myself. The time came when I needed someone to aerate and overseed and I obtained two estimates before going to Steve's lawn care. I mentioned what I needed and asked about an estimate and he said don't worry, I'll take care of you. While this is entirely my fault I figured he'd probably do the same thing for a comparable price and if it's a little more that's okay--it's a locally owned business They came within the next week and when I got home I noticed there was really no seed down at all, and I walked around the entire lawn. Since it had just been aerated I bought a 40 lb. bag of seed and overseeded myself. Fast forward a few weeks when I get the bill, which is almost double what the other two estimates were and he charged me for 40 lbs. of seed. I was in shock. They didn't put down 4 lbs. of seed, let alone 40 lbs. When I went in to discuss this with Steve he wasn't too receptive, just looked at the paperwork and reiterated exactly what was on my bill, which I already knew. Not only would I never use him again, and would highly recommend others be wary of using his services, now I won't go into his other store either, which we went to semi-regularly. All he had to do was pretend to care and act like he wanted to work with me but apparently he has plenty of customers and doesn't need to worry about his reputation. Too Bad. read more

I just called to get an estimate on a mulch / loam delivery and can say that I have never been treated so rudely by someone in the service business. I called three Lawn/Landscaping businesses in a ten minute time span, Steve's was he last one I called. Based on how I was treated for asking basic questions about prices I would never use this service. I will also never go back to Prisco's (sister company on same property / same owner) for ice cream/mini golf/batting cages. The guy on the phone tried to defend his rudeness by saying "it's 4 o'clock on Saturday" as if they weren't open and this was a problem. To top it off, I needed more than one product (mulch and loam) and they don't have the skill or equipment to put them on the same truck. Not a big deal - just tell me nicely. Bridgewater Farm Supply will do this and charge an extra $10 which seems reasonable enough. read more

I had my headges trimmed and beds weeded and mulched yesterday and have to say, the two guys that did it knocked it out of the park.
