POOR/UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE - I contacted this company having read the good reviews. I explained that we had to turn up the pressure on our boiler every couple of days and suspected a leak in the system and that we were looking for a repair to our dishwasher. John Stewart quoted £60 for both jobs and an appointment was made for his attendance two days later between 0900 and 1200. At 1230 on the day booked I contacted John again who had no note of the booking however agreed to attend within the hour. On arrival he stated he couldn't do dishwasher repairs despite previously stating otherwise on the telephone. He thereafter attempted to find the fault with the heating system to no avail and conducted a full gas safety check which was not requested. John stated he suspected a leak somewhere in the system but couldn't state where then tried to charge £50 for the gas safety check which was not asked for. When I queried this he became extremely argumentative and behaved in a totally unprofessional manner when I tried to discuss the matter with him. I would NOT recommend STEWART HEATING. read more

THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED with these guys I phoned to get them out to fix my boiler no hot water. They charged me £70 and told me it was working. It wasnt. Phoned back to be told they would be back out on Monday they werent. Phoned to find out why not they told me they were waiting on a part (they DID tell me they would be out on Monday i sat in all day waiting). They told me they would phone me when the part came in. They didn't. I phoned them to find out what was happening a week later they were still 'waiting for the part'. Phoned a week later again and spoke to someone else who was apologetic about the service and PROMISED to phone me back with an update THAT WAS THREE WEEKS AGO. I must have phoned them about 6 times to rectify the problem each time met with we've got your number, we'll phone you. To be honest if it wasnt for the fact I had already paid £70 FOR NOTHING TO BE FIXED i would have contacted another company immediately. As it is I have had no hot water for around 6 weeks now. REALLY POOR SERVICE. A repair (costing me £100 in cash and paid at the time) to my combi boiler failed the same evening. Contacting them 1st thing next day, Stewart Heating told me they would be out that day (at 1pm) to look at it. They didn't show. There was no phone call. By 4:30, I phoned another company who came round in an hour, examined it and returned the next day to fix it completely. When I phoned today to discuss the matter, the manager claimed it was my fault for contacting another engineer and said they didn't do refunds. With a toddler and 2 other children in the house, I had no option but to seek someone who could help, and I'm glad I did: the company is called SR Heating and is based in the Southside of Glasgow. The other negative reviews of Stewart Heating are consistent with my experience. In my opinion, this lot are an unprofessional company with scant regard for the customer. read more

I was looking for a gas fitter in Glasgow to carry out a gas safety check on my boiler and if possible fix a small leak under the sink. I called Stewart heating and they said they would send a plumbing/heating engineer. The engineer arrived as arranged and carried out the gas safety inspection and was also able to tighten the small leak under my sink, this saved me having to phone a plumber and saved me some money. I would highly recommend the engineers at Stewart Heating ,Professional and Value for money. read more

I've had quite a few problems with my boiler and plumbing both last winter and this winter i have contacted Stewart Heating on all occasions and each time i have had great service!!! BEST PLUMBERS IN GLASGOW I had 2 other so called plumbing companies out to look at my leaking shower before i called Stewart Heating. The first plumber wanted to rip out my entire shower cubical when i specifically told him i could hear the leak behind the shower valve. Had Stewart Heating out today to look at a water leak that was going down to my neighbours. The plumber they sent out found the problem pretty quickly (a broken pipe under my bath). After going to pick up parts they replaced the broken pipe within an hour i was very pleased with the quick service. I would recommend them to anyone else who needs a decent plumber.
