He was totally friendly and had grade-A recommendations for things to do in the area. He had this great mountain biking recommendation that I did not see coming because there is so much surfing nearby - it was some of the best riding I've done. The atmosphere of this place is so relaxing and comfortable that it just made me want to stay - and so I changed some plans and stayed for two extra nights. It was very friendly and lacked that stuffy corporate hotel vibe, it was perfect. The place is about a 10-minute walk outside of Coolum itself, but the path is gorgeous, so I never regretted not having a car. Plus the outside was completely quiet, so I was able to leave the door to the patio open the whole time and listen to the sounds of nature. The beds probably weren't the most comfortable in the world, but I could never figure out why because I was asleep within moments of hitting the pillow - I guess that means I was having enough fun during the day. Do yourself a favor, get off the beaten path, and check this place out, it's one in a million.

We looked at the photos and decided we were here for one night so let's give this place a try. To be blunt - the rooms are 2 star at best. They are dirty (when we got to our room there was a dirty cleaning cloth on the bed) they are mouldy and rusting and the tiles need a damn good clean. I have uploaded some photos for you to look at. I don't have a lot more to say than this is not a good place to stay. Yes the pool is lovely, it is close to the beach, and the restaurant next door does great cocktails and food - but the "resort" is well below what I would ever recommend to anyone. We got a bit of a ocean view and a large outside patio - we actually got the feeling we were on a break just like an Endless Summer. A big plus was the large heated pool with a slide and a waterfall cave - mini golf as well. The managers were super and very friendly and helpful. The complex is well kept and the units very clean. All in all hard to fault in this price range and a lot quieter than I expected. I highly recommend a visit.
