Breakfast at the lounge was substantial. We loved every dish we tried as well as the buffet. We also visited the lounge a couple of times in the evening for a drink. Staff is so nice and really made our stay memorable. The location is very good too, with the tram right outside the hotel. If in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink (NA) and snack.We were able to sit at a comfortable chair and bistro table and enjoy our snack and drink while we were checked in. It felt more like a lounge than a hotel check-in. The spa has 3 styles of pools - jetted, soaking, and a floating outdoor "champagne" pool, sauna, relaxation chairs, steam room, hammam, cold plunge. It was the ultimate relaxation. Tips: Take advantage of the spa and reserve your time at the spa ahead of time if it's a busy travel season. Have a drink at the lounge and chat with the bartender.

There's an outdoor pool which is see-through and you can see the people underneath you, it's really cool. When you sign in they have you sit down in comfy chairs and offer you a welcome drink. I had a double room that was quite big, for what I am use to in Europe. the bathroom was decent size with a walk in shower and heater floor. I had a friend stay in a double room as well, her room and bathroom were bigger, however she had a tub and no heated floor. The noise outside could be a bit bothersome, especially on weekend nights, so you may want to try for a room at the front of the building. The staff was very friendly and knew the area quite well and gave some good recommendations for dinner. The breakfast included a nice variety of meats, cheeses, breads and fruit. It was quite filling and plenty of options. The downfall is that there is no gym and other hotels in the area included a gym and were priced comparably. I also found myself without shampoo/conditioner in the mornings because housekeeping has not replenished them.

The facilities were nice, but the only thing was that it was about 10 minutes from the heart of Gothenburg (15 via ferry, but you have to be aware of the last scheduled ferry). Easy enough to get around with public transportation, but just a heads up that there are limited ways to get there (ferry during the day, public transportation, ride share).

Tips: Take tram 1 or bus 60 and get off at Stenpiren from Central station. Super fast and easy! Otherwise, just walk along the river, it takes about 15min.

The interiors are absolutely beautiful and make you feel like your on a REAL holiday. The quality of the towels, mattresses and sheets are also just as luxurious as they look. Once I checked in I didn't really want to leave my room! I'll also note that the hotel was very clean and quiet, which is of course a plus. We had a whole room (4 beds) to the 3 of us so there was plenty of space and even had a TV in the room to watch some Swedish TV. I'm specifically writing this review to say thanks to the super helpful hostel staff who shipped me my apple watch that I forgot in the room overseas to Chicago. I was worried that I'd never get it back because you know how things can go when you're backpacking around hostels but the staff was honest, nice and helpful in sending it back to me! Specifically, Linda, who I was exchanging info over email with trying to get the watch back. I couldn't be more grateful and satisfied with my stay here, 5/5 stars. Felt like it was easy to get all over the city from there and there was even a park a short walk away that had a really cool free-to-enter zoo inside that had a bunch of animals native to the area.
