So happy I came across this electric place when I first arrived in Stockholm! You really can't miss this shop since it's decked out in pink! Inside there's even more crazy artwork as the walls and ceilings were painted with crazy cows! There was only 3 flavors when I went (since it was later in the day) and the girl who was working at the counter was super friendly! She offered me to try the 3 flavors with a smile on her face! That never happens with a smile on your face! Anyways, I decided to try the lavender one and some hazelnut almond mixture. I liked both of them a lot but decided to go with the lavender one since it was a bit more unique. They also had Semlas in the store and oddly enough that day was "Fat Tuesday" which meant that it was a "national Semla" day. Since I had to celebrate such a historic holiday, I got the ice cream inside the semla and it was delicious. The way the bread soaked up the ice cream was super satisfying. read more

So I gotta say Stockholm probably isn't known for their gelato, ahahah, but gotta love the super awesome people and the city!! I had been using only my credit card in Stockholm, but when I got in to StikkiNikki, I was bummed to find out this place was cash only. The lady was extra nice, and accepted my Euros and gave me SEK back. I had the mocha flavored ice cream in waffle cone, and the single scoop serving was very generous. The waffle cone was crunchy and tasty, but the ice cream just tasted icy and watery as the flavor wasn't infused. Later as I was strolling through the city, I stumbled upon another StikkiNikki that had different flavors, such as Tin Roof (peanut and fudge swirl in vanilla - I was super excited for the crunchy texture!) and salted caramel. I tried those samples and again it was very watery and the flavor wasn't infused. If this were the United States these would be baller flavors... Side note, why do Scandinavians like their licorice so much?! There was a salted licorice flavor, and all over the grocery stores, there are licorice candies. I remember when I went to Iceland there was licorice everywhere as well. read more

Two years ago, I would have walked 30min out of my way for a StikkiNikki - this is no longer necessary as the pink shops are popping up in every neighbourhood and one only a 5min walk from my flat (though the location on Mariatorget remains my favourite) Maybe the honeymoon is over, and it is no longer so special to get an ice cream above and beyond the standard GB/Sia variety - the range of small-scale frozen creations available to purchase has increased exponentially. The consistency and density of the gelato and sorbet is top-notch, but w/the exception of perhaps 3 flavours that I can think of (vegan chocolate, lemon meringue and basil lemon) the overall taste is just indistinctly SWEET with little sense of what the flavour is meant to be. I have more than once found myself standing on the opposite side of the freezer thinking it will be hard to decide, when actually I am not tempted at all. I understand that a certain amount of sugar is necessary to maintain a creamy texture, but sometimes wonder if the "cooks" get a bit freehanded and lose track of the measures. I realise that in Stockholm most people are happy to buy whatever is "in" but for now I'm out. I refilled a litre container yesterday and think it will last a while. Ice-cream that comfortably beats anything in Stockholm, Sweden and probably most of the rest of the world. And on top of that it's all natural and organic. Flavours range from vanilla, chocolate and strawberry to Nikki's own creations and more exotic stuff like messmör (Scandinavian whey cheese). They are usually more intense than elsewhere regardless of content. Also serves some coffee, tea and soft drinks but they are below average. Go for the ice-cream instead. read more

This gelato shop definitely beats all ice cream shops in Stockholm, and I recommend it strongly. All the flavours are vegetarian, vegan and (I think) gluten free. All flavours are delicious, organic and homemade, and it's great that the number of Stikkinikki stores is growing. I bought a 1L box (there is also the choice of 0,5L) for me and my friend to take home, and they told us that if we wash the box after finishing the ice cream and bring it with us next time, then we will receive a 30kr discount. Overall the staff is kind, the ice cream and drinks are good, and the shop is a great success. read more

The first time I came, I shared a three flavor cup with my sister and we chose Tin Roof, Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream. The chocolate was our least favorite but it was still good. Tin roof has peanut chunks in it which was tasty. The cookies and cream was very different from the cookies and cream ice cream flavor in the US. It used a different cookie than Oreos but it was good and the cookies were crunchy in the ice cream. The second time I came, I got a two flavor waffle cone with mint chocolate chip and hazelnut. The mint chocolate chip was really refreshing and the waffle cone didn't cost anything extra. I also tried the salted caramel, mango sorbet, and lemon/apple/green tea sorbet. The salted caramel was my favorite and the sorbets were really refreshing as well. Each ice cream has its own scoop which keeps it sanitary and they pile on the ice cream. Definitely give this place a try if you're in Sweden! read more

They had me at ice cream. Its not uncommon to be offered samples at a place like this, but it is uncommon to be offered it with a big smile on your face, and thats what we encounted here. I found my peanut butter something or other to be quite amazing and im not a huge peanut butter fan.(dont ask why i ordered it) Prices are pretty reasonable, all things considered and it really makes a great late night or afternoon snack. There is something special about this chain and I can see them going worldwide. read more

One star for that it's ice cream and one for the rare flavor combinations in a nice branding. The ice cream is to sweet though and the sorbet is so sweet it makes your tongue twist. Okey, they get an extra star for the strive of being organic and environmental friendly. read more

Any ice cream ( besides Ben and Jerry's) that you buy in the container has dismal texture. So it is FAR BETTER to go to your local ice cream option. StikkiNikki would be such a place. Pretty good ice cream, though nothing particularly life changing. MULTIPLE VEGAN/LACTOSE FREE options, including a creamy tasting texture one (not just icy sorbet). Convenient locations. Perfect for take away, lack of indoor seating, but during the summer everyone likes to stroll around joyfully eating, so shouldn't be too limiting. read more
