Horrible cancellation policy. My appointment was for 11:15 on Tuesday. I received a text message at 11:14pm the day prior stating that I could make changes to my appointment. I clicked on the link a minute later, and was informed that the cancellation period had expired. I immediately called and left a message on their machine stating that I needed to reschedule. I did not receive a call back until 11:08am the next day (minutes before my regular appointment) stating that they would not reschedule my appointment and that they were charging me for the full service ($30.00 for a brow wax). It is a shame because the service was great and I would have been a repeat customer. I would have also tried to reschedule my day if I knew in advance that they were not going to let me reschedule. I had an appointment yesterday for the signature brow service and an eyelash lift and tint ($165). Overall, this service did not meet my expectations. The owner is very nice, but I felt like my appointment was rushed as she had back-to-back appointments with other clients and even though I arrived on time (giving myself 15 extra minutes to find and pay for parking) I received a couple of last minute texts reminding me to get there on time, which tbh was not helpful b/c I was already cognizant of that and was busy parking, paying the meter etc so did not have hands free to respond. Paperwork consisted of disclosing whether I use retnin A, a few brief questions, and credit card info. Latoya got me started right away, which was a plus, but there wasn't really any consultation regarding my eyebrow goals and the result is I have thicker brows than I was going for . . . The lash lift part was generally fine (it's like getting your eyelashes permed). I was unprepared for the lash tint part though. I wore contacts and kept my eyes closed. During the procedure my eyes started to burn, like really bad at one point. The chemicals were obviously seeping into my eyes. It was at that point I asked Latoya if I should have taken my contacts out before hand and she said no it didn't matter. We decided to stop the processing time early because my eyes were too irritated. She told me that everyone's eyes burn and that clients get used to keeping their eyes still and not squeezing them too much and she joked that I needed to toughen up. After that, she gave me some very brief instructions like use a serum and don't use waterproof mascara and she was on to the next client. I did not receive any pre or post written instructions from this appointment let alone any advanced notice about the burning. After the appointment, my eyes continued to hurt and today my left eye is red, painful, and possibly infected. Now, hindsight being 20-20, I googled this procedure and it is not supposed to hurt or cause this degree of irritation. Also,*** please be advised anyone getting this should take their contacts out before the procedure** I really wish the owner had given me good instructions beforehand. She was so blase about things and yes she is an aesthetician, and by all accounts a very good one, but I did not feel like she put my health and safety first. Rather, I felt like one of many customers she had to deal with that day. The price point for the services was high and I just don't feel like it was commensurate with the service provided, and i dont feel like my individual needs were addressed ( for example, others mentioned they were given a tutorialon how to shade in their brows. I was not).. I am writing this review because I was disarmed into trying this business because of all the 5 star glowing reviews. I am upset that I wasn't given basic instructions about what to expect ahead of the tint and lift (which costs the owner nothing) and dos and don'ts in the week ahead. I think it is very unprofessional that this information was not provided. This lack of professionalism leads me to believe the owner cares more about $ than client well-being and safety. In short, I put too much trust in this business based on the many fabulous reviews and feel compelled to write this review, as an honest counterpoint given that my personal experience was much different. read more

I saw several different stylist before Latoya who claimed they could even them back out but they still looked awful. Latoya took the time to explain the care that my eyebrows needed and promised me that if I followed her directions, my brows would be beautiful. Latoya is THE brow expert!!! I have been going to her forEVER from her Nordy days to now her own salon! I would not and do not trust anyone else on this earth to make my brows so perfect every time. I get so many compliments on her work and tell everyone she's my go to and highly highly recommend. She knows the right shape for your face and is an expert in her craft. Make sure to not give these people your credit card information , they will charge you without your permission , I'm in the process of filing a dispute with them . On top of that they are over priced , I got my eyebrows tinted and it maybe lasted a week and I payed about 50 dollars . I guess they are more focused on scamming customers and stealing money then they are on their work . Amazing brows! I have been a regular customer for nearly 2 years. I came to LaToya with over threaded uneven brows, not only did she walk me through her process she gave me advise on products I could use to help with restoring my eyebrow hair (and not products she sells for profit, legit Amazon purchases). She is knowledgeable, skilled in her craft, professional and punctual - I have never had to wait for an appointment. I read a review that bugged me which says she is a scam - well if the scam is having amazing brows then she is it!! I don't see any problem requiring notice if you will miss an appointment they simply require notification...as does any hours based business. This is actually the best brow place I've been to. I usually go to a salon to get my brows waxed but the salon owner's unprofessional behavior just got too overwhelming. As a client, I look at the cleanliness of the place, reviews, customer service amongst all staff, timeliness and professionalism. I read great reviews on Still Beauty and it's located in Wayne which helped me determine what type of atmosphere it would be so I decided to give it a shot. Spending a little more than usual for a wax isn't an issue for me as long as I get the results I want. Initially, I scheduled an appointment tor the signature brow service which included a wax, tinting and tweezing. Once I arrived, I was greeted by her assistant, filled out a short form and was in the chair soon after. Latoya was very professional and gave me recommendations on how to help my brows grow. She let me know she didn't want to tint my brows because she would rather have them grow out first, but it was at my discretion. I took her advice and skipped the tint. She took her time and shaped my brows nicely. Also, the wax she used didn't tear my skin at all as I am on a topical cream called Tazorac for acne. I will definitely be going back to her. read more
