The event took place in our store and Kristen turned our area into a peaceful sanctuary. We performed meditation for about 30 minutes and after wards we all felt relaxed and ready to participate in our run club. Kristen is very professional and left us all with a great start to our day. Harold Levine, psychiatrist, is there to help his patients achieve the best health possible. The second visit was caused by the fact my son's psychiatrist of eight years, Dr. Richard Mauroner, refused to treat him after his first hospitalization at EBHH because he is a Parkridge doctor. Not only did he refuse to treat my son but he also would not refill any of his prescriptions which sent him into withdrawal and forced him back into the hospital. EBHH was there to help him through this situation. So very thankful that Chattanooga now has a premiere new mental health facility to help our mentally ill patients. For EBHH, it is about the patient and not about the money.

I didn't know what it was like to be a girl getting her first period in the desert under Taliban…read morerule until I had my unfortunate stay in Erlanger Behavioral Health. I had a bloody anus every day I was there and the bathrooms were locked. The rooms were locked during the day. The unit hallway had patients duking it out and some even punching holes in walls. A patient escaped, I got punched, bullied, and constantly messed with. The water stopped working while I was there briefly. The quality of care was like jumping off a cliff. You'd be better taking the cliff than this hospital.

Unfortunately, our experience with Catherine was less than satisfactory…read more My husband suffered a major medical emergency during travel that landed us in the hospital out of town for two weeks. Our therapy appointment was scheduled during that time. I attempted to reach Catherine the night before our scheduled appointment via voicemail and email to inform her of our situation and that my my husband was currently hospitalized. I only remembered the appt due to a reminder alert! Other things on my mind at the time. The day of our appointment she proceeded to send me a text asking if we were coming I explained to her our current situation and that we would not be able to make our appointment. She immediately responded reminding me of her cancellation policy. Minutes after this communication she processed a full charge for our appointment. When I contacted her asking the charge, she explained it was her cancellation policy to receive all notice within 24 hours. Again, I proceeded to tell her we had been in the Emergency Room and now ICU and apologized I had not thought of it sooner. I offered to send her hospital admittance documents and out discharge papers upon release. She responded, "I hope honoring the policy does not create a barrier to your continuing to see me. I just wouldn't feel right making an exception for some and not others so I created a policy that is as fair as I could create and provide a system for clients to setup reminders that best fit their needs. No documentation needed. I just feel terrible making exceptions for some and not others." She continued to explain to me the fairness of the policy. Unfortunately, no exception for life threatening medical emergencies. I want others to be aware of her practices. I would never want someone to be in this situation and I thought it important to notate how she conducts her practice.
