    Corner front door entry

Originally Alex and I were going to meet at the Opera house Kaffe, thou on weekends it's closed therefore I choose this. Why? Closely located at Oslo S central station so it's a 5 minute walk. It's located on a corner, lots of floor to ceiling window on the ground floor. Menu is simple and have a variety of coffee and tea. Humble decor and simple. Downstairs are tables for 2-4 people and we sat at a leather sofa which was comfortable and the atmosphere is quiet thou people were talking. That's what I love about Europe. People respect and are thoughtful of others by keeping conversations to each their and their voices are not loud. Alex ordered 2 coffees, I had peppermint tea and 2 pain au chocolat. I don't drink coffee, and my French friend enjoyed it and I enjoyed the tea. Aroma smelled good. Pain au chocolat was good, quite large and not as buttery as a French one. We sat downstairs where the Kaffe lab is located and it was closed when we were there. Not exactly sure what it is, we thought that's were they experiment with flavors. We sat on a large sofa and had the corner too ourselves. We were immersed into each other and I didn't notice the entire floor was almost full. Funny thing was, many were French people. Place is clean, the staff (1 lady) was friendly. She was pretty much to the point and nothing excessive of conversation. The place is clean, looks like a popular place and it was Alex first time here too and he lives in Oslo. The quality was very good for the tea. Pain au chocolat- delicious perhaps because I was hungry. Prices in Oslo - expensive. Would I return? Possibly unless I find other cool and hip places.

Chanced upon this little cafe, situated on a street corner just in front of a tram stop, only on our last day in Oslo! :( Bar seats lined the entire L shape windows; excellent for people-watching! The cafe is brightly lit, modernly decorated with a bright atmosphere which was echoed by the staff (all smiles!). I did a quick peep at the basement seating area which was decorated to resemble a living room, but decided that the bar stools were better for my last few cafe moments. The staff were very friendly and while I was there, I saw some regulars popping by to chit chat with them. I had a Mocha (as usual) and my partner had a Latte. Both were equally good, smooth in texture but I would have liked my Mocha less bitter (guess their ratio of coffee was a tad more then my usual). I would have liked to stay linger a while longer, but I had a train and flight to catch. Otherwise, the brightly-lit bar seats were really, really good for watching the world go by, doing crosswords, reading a book while sipping a good, hot cup of coffee. Tip: Ask the staff for a ring key to the washrooms. The washrooms auto lock upon closing so there is no need to lock it after you leave.

We're from Seattle and take our coffee seriously. Stockfleths was a wonderful surprise! We had an Americano, Cortado and an oat milk chai latte along with cashew soaked chia pudding. All wonderful.

Nice atmosphere and the perfect sand which and later to start my walking tour of Oslo.

Nice corner cafe with a bright atmosphere. The seating is mostly counters running along the Windows which is great for watching the street traffic. Nice spot to stop while checking out the city center.

Chai Latte - brewed, not from concentrate!

Bright, clean shop - smiling faces behind the counter. Had a great Chai latte (they brewed Chai tea - had the perfect ginger "bite" - then added the steamed milk, so much better than most coffee houses that use a Chai concentrate!) and sat in the window watching the trams rumble by. Decent wifi speeds. Friendly staff was very helpful!
