The variety of stores is worth it though with a modern finish and wide walkways I have come to expect from an updated centre. The Coles and Woolworths are massive and I love the convenience of both stores should one be out of stock. The restaurant precinct has plenty to offer. TGI Friday's, Lee's Kitchen, Burger Urge and Oliver Brown to name the few I've tried with Hong Kong Chef and Kinn Thai on the list next. The adjoining cafeteria has just as much to please every taste bud. Parking has been my gripe in the past but I have started using a different spot on the roof top which has been great. A few more trips and I can hopefully call myself a local.

Mrs Woo is actually the creation of three siblings who have opened this wonderful emporium of clothing, Mast Brothers chocolates, ceramics and complimentary knick knacks. It was one of the first places I made a beeline for on my first visit to Newcastle four years ago and it remains one of the first spots I stop at for a gander shortly after grabbing a coffee at Glee Roasters. The range isn't excessive and you won't spend hours trawling racks. But that's what I adore about it. They've done the curating for you and all that's left is beautiful things worthy of your attention. It's worth following their Instagram to get an idea of just what they're about.

There is everything for kids to adults and a nice little range of costumes and stuffed toys as well. The staff are super friendly, they are in a cute little location next to a Gem shop and I would definitely recommend a browse. Price are a little bit dear, but so are prices for pretty much everything touristy in the Hunter Valley. Worth a check out.

There's a few larger brands thrown in for good measure but it's easy to tell they've been carefully selected to compliment the local ranges. Located on the ever revived Hunter St Mall strip, it's easy to combine your morning coffee with a quick shop in Studio Melt. In fact, I'd highly recommend it!
