Stopped here on a whim, came thru Sealy for an estate sale. So glad that we did! Great place, wonderful store to spend hours in. If you can find something in here, then something is wrong. Would have stayed longer but it was closing time. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by this place after lunch. A friendly guy behind the counter. Tons of dinnerware and glassware. Found us a vintage Looney Tunes glass from 1973. My husband picked Speedy Gonzales as it came in pairs. They have other characters like Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig and Bugs Bunny. A bit pricey than the antique stores closer to home but it was worth the price for those vintage glasses. read more

We've stopped here a few times as we headed down the road. What a great little place. The owners are so friendly. All kinds of treasure to be found. Lovely place. Found some awesome old old books in excellent shape. Glassware. Dishes. Military memorabilia. read more

En route from Houston to Austin, we drove past and decided to stop. Phyllis and her husband are such gems. They were very helpful and inviting. The shop had so many cool items. On more of the pricey side but everything was in mint condition. In a scurry to get home so I can put all my things in their place! read more

Chappell Jordan Clock Galleries

I just had a 2nd antique clock serviced by Chappell Jordan. This one was a 175-year-old marble and…read morepatinated bronze French Figural Clock. The clock's movement hadn't been serviced in over 116 years according to the 2 November 1910 inscription on the pendulum bracket by its previous servicer. Also, the clock's marble base was missing most of the Roman numerals that were formerly attached to it to serve as the dial. Bernie Maya of Chappell Jordan completely cleaned and serviced the movement and bell such that the clock mechanism now looks brand new and the clock runs like new. Bernie also polished the marble and installed new Roman numerals for the dial on the clocks marble block. What a magnificent job ! Chappell Jordan hit it out of the ballpark again !

I bought an 1830 French Clock from an antique dealer in Italy about 2 1/2 years ago. It was shipped to Houston via UPS. After I brought the box in the house and opened it I found the clock had been poorly packaged and the back glass was shattered and interspersed with the gears of the clock such that it wouldn't work. UPS said their shipping insurance only covers boxes opened in the presence of their UPS driver, not after you take the boxinto your home, even though I emailed UPS immediately the same day after opening the package and finding my broken clock. I researched clock repair shops in Houston and took the clock to Steve Woodward at Clock Country. Steve quickly partially disassembled the clock in front of me and recommended a complete cleaning and replacement of the broken back glass. After numerous disassemblies and reassemblies of the clock and checking it's time, Steve discovered that the large gear on the 4th wheel of the clock was very slightly bent, causing the clock to stop each time a few days after rewinding. Fortunately, Steve is tenacious and likes a challenge. He said we wanted to keep working on the clock until he got it running property. He succeeded and I picked up my clock just recently after almost 2 3/4 years. Thank you Steve !
