Chose to stay with BD because process was underway, but would make a different decision today. Second attorney over-promised and under-delivered; was very unresponsive; and sometimes made me question whose best interests she was working for. Hard enough going through the process for the first time without have to constantly manage the partner you hired to assist. And don't get me started on the billing procedures. I spent countless hours trying to resolve things that should have been straightforward. The estate is settled, all bills have been paid and I'm unable to find anyone at the firm who can tell me why I am still getting bills. I think having teeth pulled would have been far less painless. Avoid at all costs!

What a real abject disappointment. He accepted corporate funds from my corporation, which my…read moreex-wife wrote out to his firm for a retainer. He then drafted a Power of Attorney for me to sign, and my then wife said she had downloaded it from the internet. After I signed the POA and left the USA for an extended project in Central America, David drafted transfer documents for all my real property, all my stocks and bank accounts and assisted my wife in transferring all the property. Only after all the transfers were complete did he finally file the divorce. There is only one appropriate use for a Power of attorney--and that is protecting the best interests of the principal--David seemed to have no ethical qualms --It took me years to get my properties returned--My corporations were financially burdened and he did it all on my corporate funds. In summary he seems to have no problems with using the law and legal instruments as devices to bewilder and confound facts. At Court he defended his actions by asking a jury "Where is the Money??--referring to all the money that vanished from my corporations--well a substantial portion went to his law firm. But I've asked for an itemized statement for the last 2 years and they won't send anything except where it says things like the attorney worked on emails for 2 hours. But then when I asked can they prove that the attorney worked on the emails for 2 hours they won't present anything and are now telling me that I should have resolved this issue 2 years ago. I told them I've been waiting for and out of my statement for 2 years and that I'm now gonna be paying a dollar a month to them until they do what I ask them. Because my attorney is no longer with the office. And when I signed my contract, I signed retaining the attorney, not their office and the attorney. He would ask for more money so I would write him a check so that my payments went to the attorney, not the office. They claimed they paid him up front. And now I have to pay them back but they won't produce any itemized statement showing the work that was done, because I'm still finding over the case that they claim to have finished this office is a complete crap hole and a bunch of con artists who are just out to make money and the only reason why you should get an attorney from this office is if you just plan on throwing money away and getting nowhere with your case. If you ask for itemized statements and go to ask them to be printed then the office manager Stacy will not only scream at you she will scream about your case and talk crap while other people in the office and on their floor can hear her and break client confidentiality just so she can be heard. I would recommend if you ever go to this office record everything because they will lie and treat you like crap. I have my recording and I'm considering legal action since there were other people in the office when I asked for the statements on Tuesday and went to pick them up today. She didn't print them then acted like I was a burden when I showed up and still asked them to be printed. Save your time and money and go with literally any other attorney's office.
