Treeborn Apartments is a very homey atmosphere. Complete with a wooden backdrop outdoors and a…read morefairly silent regime of neighbors. Maintenance is always on top of new work orders, and always does a fantastic job on whatever the problem is. Pros -Quiet -Beautiful Property -Perfect for new couples looking to get a start in their lives -Maintenance are TOP DOGS -Rent is on the cheaper side -The office staff do everything they can to accommodate their guests -Close to many good restaurants, Kroger, and JUBIES ICE CREAM (Probably the best ice cream I've personally ever had) Cons -The Laundry facility on-site isn't the best, spent nearly 8 $ (at 2$ per load) to dry one load of non heavy laundry - The pet fee's are about 1/4th the price of your rent, and have a monthly allowance -Food Delivery is a nightmare in the back lots, some drivers will sooner make a U-Turn than properly locate your apartment and deliver your food. (We've had 3 orders go missing in the span of 2 months) Verdict: While Treeborn Apartments falls short in a few minor area's, the overall experience is fantastic, my Fiancé and I love it here and plan on staying until we are properly hitched and find ourselves our own permanent residence, with around the 750$ range of rent, we are able to build a successful, stable income that is allowing us to create the foundation for a perfect life together Thank you Treeborne for giving us this opportunity to love and grow without hassle

The staff are people you grow to know and love as much as the accessible Oregon District. Everyone from Kathy at the front desk to the familiar faces that makeup St. Clair Lofts, it's a unique place in the downtown area. I cannot say enough about this place I call home!

Pros: -large beautiful windows in the apartment -overall one of the best prices for the location close to Oregon district -always had easy to find street parking, never paid for a parking spot -fixed my maintenance issues usually within a day -really strong community among the people who were living there - gym, backyard patio area with grill, free community entertainment space to rent -leasing office would throw 2-3 holiday parties with beer, wine and food pre-covid -friendly, approachable management Cons: - thin walls, hopefully you have respectful neighbors like I did - gym is bare - leasing office did not keep track of my annual leasing contract renewal dates, responsibility was on me to renew my lease dates without receiving reminders to do so. Also wants tenants to tell the office more than 60 days they are moving out by the end of the lease without receiving any reminder/notification to make that decision - near a homeless shelter (did not cause me any issues) but guys will occasionally cat call

I think it comes down to what level of petty are you willing to live with? People here are very…read morevery petty. The front office sends out passive-aggressive emails threatening fines over trivial stuff like packages and pets which really just creates a hostile environment for people to live under. The neighbors here will literally have their noses up your butt over what crack you stepped on and where. It's a nice area, however, the people here just really ruin it. Just petty people who have nothing else to do but pick on the people around them. Oh and the landlord is definitely a shark just out to get fees and fines. There's a daily fee if you don't pick up your package after 3 days from the office and they specifically tell you they're not required to let you know if there's a package there. What if you're out of town and someone mailed you something and you didn't know? Then you just gotta pay some fine? Ya, okay. Also, there's a weird thing in the lease where a % of your rent goes to 'charity' and you can't decline it. Ya, who knows if this is actually going towards charity. Honestly, the people here are shady. I'd avoid. I had a friend who wanted to move in here because of the area. Honestly, I told him to look elsewhere.

So today we received notice for unsatisfactory living conditions. Which we are in the process of…read morestill cleaning out our apartment getting ready to move because this place is terrible. We have stuff piled on the kitchen table and stuff all over the guest bedroom... whatever. Kathy left as manager which never had an issue before. They have a new manager that I tried to call him the day he did our inspection weeks ago and nothing... still nothing.. i have him on camera talking trash and taking pictures of our apartment. He and some kid was going through my stuff and talking about how I was a firefighter and something about our door chocks because our cats keep locking themselves in rooms.... they went into my bedroom and closed the door and was in there a bit. I spoke to him before about the birds nesting in the breezeway ceilings. They haven't looked at it and just pulled stuff out again today so they don't nest. Im afraid of it catching on fire. So I could tell you some horror stories about this place like the lady that blew up her toilet mixing chemicals to "clean".. the fire department told management to let us know what happened, they didn't. See smoke pictures from downstairs They are still fixing the building that did catch fire next to us. When we moved in I was having trouble drying our clothes. We later found out that the vent for the dryer was not properly vented outside. So all that heat and humidity has built into the wall.. wow another fire hazard. So many reviews are true about this place and honestly they charge way to much for the run down out of date units they have. I have paid every month on time without issue for the last 4-5 years and have called about maintenance maybe 4 times mostly because of the out of date furnace and to screw with me so close to our lease being up is stupid on your part. See you tomorrow morning Mr. Terrence Gay
