I stepped into this lovely stone building to return some books and perused the stacks and selected a lovely novel to read. Alas, I did not have my library card on my person...I did have my bank debit card with my name but this was not worthy of establishing my identity according to the librarian. She even said to me "I don't know you" a la Mariah Carey (Made my day!) and gave me the door. I am most happy and rest easily to know that this cherub is single handedly protecting the precious books of Stone Ridge from potential thieves. read more
