Our suite featured a great view of Lake Superior and the entire house had such an inviting and eclectic decor bursting with art and books. The sheets felt like sleeping on an actual cloud and breakfast was particularly yummy. I only wish we had booked more time there---next time we come back, we will. The furniture in the front room of Maggie Suite is tired, small couch is actually a hide-and-bed. The bed was too hard for me, but it could be wonderful for you. For a 2 night stay, we were gifted 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was my biggest disappointment, for $240/night I was really looking forward to the breakfast and sadly really disappointed. It simply wasn't worth the price and I felt gypped. Again, for some this would probably be perfectly acceptable but for me it was not.

And more importantly: --Sale items! I've purchased a number of "sale" ornaments here because I'm obsessed with Christmas ornaments (give me time and my tree won't even be visible anymore), they were cute and they were on sale. And as far as tchotchke's go, those of the Christmas variety are somewhat practical. Right??? Right.

Way back in the day, My grandma worked here for a bit, and she would always bring me home really cool dresses for my Barbies. They were all hand made, and nothing at all like my friends had at the time, so I always had this hunch on my shoulder and acted like I was better. lol. This place is pretty small, so on a busy weekend day, and especially during Apple fest, it is so packed that you may not get to look at everything. Other than Christmas ornaments and what not, they have tons of those cool little Bayfield commemorative things, to remind you of your stay. I like this little shop, it brings be back to when I was just a young girl.
