Norelco cabinets are beyond cheap... cheap stains, cheap pressed board interiors, no durability. When ours were first installed we immediately contacted the company as the stain was uneven and looked to be dripped in some spots. They sent their rep to investigate. He immediately said they were not good, not up to company standards, and that was the last they would respond to us. My husband and I are retired, our new home and cabinets receive light usage, but the cabinets look ancient. The stain has worn off on the edges and tops... the look is unsightly. Since then, I have been waiting to get my deposit back. Every week Bill Baril says my money will be coming next week, but it never happens. The communication of delays was not so good but my inquiries were eventually dealt with. Though it took longer than expected and there were minor frustrations along the way we couldn't be happier. Second: they didn't properly measure the doors. Some of the doors are too small, they don't close all the way and other areas that they apparently measured, like a smaller block area where my microwave previously fit, but no longer does. Third: they tightened the screws too tight cracking the wood, then tired to hid the damaged wood with a sealing which pealed off right away when I washed it. They did a terrible job, I am super disappointed with this company and DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone.

The renovation hasn't started 10 months later! I've had to renew the building permit, although that's the cheapest cost in this renovation. Here's hoping that when this reno starts that their construction side of the business is as good as their PR/sales and billing skills as it took them no time to bank my funds! I've contacted Square One Designs scads of times by phone, without receiving a response, seems that their office must be very busy as they are unable to get to the phone. The BBB of Mainland B.C. has sent them numerous letters without a response. The company is no longer an accredited business with the BBB in BC, Alberta or Saskatchewan, so beware. Ask for references that are not on Google as it seems that most of the glowing comments there are from their staff.
