I cant believe there are negative reviews, because the review I am about to give for Valiant will…read morebe a glowing one from my personal experience. Iam a new resident at Grenfell and I have had nothing but an exemplorary experience with Valiant and the staff here! Starting with Ana in the office, who is a wonderful, friendly, hard working and kind person who was an integral part of my coming to Grenfell. She manages so many buildings and tenants and is superb at her job. The staff here at Grenfell (Tom, Josh, Marie) are amazing! Moving day was an absolute dream with Marie greeting us with her friendly smile, putting the elevator on service, prying the moving door open and offering up any help we could need. Tom and Josh had moving dollies for us to use which were so handy for all our heavy items! All, if any, issues were immediately addressed. I found my new apartment suite absolutely immaculate, clean, freshly painted and bright and sunny. I have already met a few neighbours and notice that everyone I pass by in this building greets with a friendly demeanor and a hello...you feel like part of a real community here! I had come from a horrific rental experience with another property management company in Oshawa, who only cared about "the bottom line" and money (which of course is important, too) BUT, they didnt have any humanity when dealing with tenants and their wellbeing, and what a complete 180 to come to Valiant and have feel like someone actually cares. The building staff keeps the grounds immaculate, and every week the landscapers come and do a stunning job of sprucing up the grounds ~ so green and lovely looking from my apartment :) Great job, Valiant! I hope this review is seen by the right people because you deserve to hear these accolades as I am very impressed. If you see negative reviews on here for Grenfell take it with a grain of salt ~ I personally would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you, Valiant!

It is starting to get really rough in terms of being able to use the property. At one point my dogs…read moreand child and I could walk freely. Now there is so much dog poo all over the place outside we feel trapped. It would be nice to move someplace with refreshing outdoors. Due to the uptick in fecal matter everywhere I allowed my dog to use dirt to pee in. I was notified not to do that even with snow on the ground and flower plucked. We then used the grass. Because of the filthy property per say, every animal and person in my home is sick starting with the animals. If you plan to move someplace youre children can run outside look elsewhere unfortunately. The entire backfield has dog poo issues with random needles about. Then your own property also can get you sick riddled in fecal matter. I wish I hadn't moved here knowing we no longer can be safety outside unless we drive elsewhere. Really wish the grass wasn't so filthy, my whole family got sick now stepping in other dogs stuff at 119 nonquon. really wish i knew it would be like this before settling... so trapped now with economy... if you have kids or animals, safest bet is to find a cleaner area to live. our quality of life has dropped so much over the months. i mentioned how much dog poop was everywhere nothing was done, unless it was to notify about dog pee in garden dirt with snow over it, so obliging we now suffer the consequences. our quality of life has dropped for a while here, something changed over the years, and now we are stuck with a sickness not easily going away. think twice if you have kids or animals, they deserve clean grass. this isnt right.

Absolutely the worst management property ever we've ever had to deal with (but also cured us from…read moreever buying a condo again, since technically you're never "the owner" - it's more like renting a glorified townhouse or fancy apartment). As the previous victimized reviewers have posted on this site this so-called management property is nothing more than a huge $$$ scamming parasitic joke that offers the most bare-bones maintenance services ever (like no landscaping, repairs that are needed that go unheard, it's almost nearly impossible to talk to a "live" manager or rep since no one ever picks up the phone during weekly business days and hours (mon-fri 9:00am to 5:00pm) all you ever get is their automated answering service - which is wonderful and easy way to deflect anything the needs servicing. When something does not conform to their community standards they will send out eloquently belligerent (threatening, but politely phrased warnings with an undercurrent of "do or die" ultimatums, and if you don't snap to it they will immediately put a lien on your so-called house or apartment...), the contractors that are supposed to looks after the townhouse were we resided are by far the sloppiest we've ever seen - they repaved the roadway of our community and then had to come back and do it again, then they attempted to fix the walkways and doorsteps to the fronts of the townhouses, again only to come back a couple of months later to do it again since they did such a hack job that the stairs and landings were all wobbling - they will not do your garage driveway that's at your expense, the contractors are also not responsible for other items that under "normal responsible condo managements" would be covered. For example where we resided all the old grey wooden decayed and rotting back fences that separate one townhouse from another are falling apart, however at the last board meeting the management company stated that that will be at the homeowner's (aka tenants) expense at a cost of approximately $3000.00 per unit, so please pray tell what the heck is going on with $400.00 maintenance fees a month that the 27 townhouses are paying go to - into Newton Trelaway greedy pockets and certainly not back to the community for maintenance. Suffice it to say that we sold our property (lol "our property) this December and good riddance. Also as a warning to all first-time buyers before signing up if you take the time to properly to investigate (via google) the reputation of Newton Trelaway is extremely shady and there are many other sites and reviews that paint the exact same profile for this sham company - which really deserves to charged criminally for their fraudulent practices and quasi-Mafioso strong arm tactics, enough is enough! You have been warned STAY WAY FROM THESE MEGA-SCAMMERS THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS RUN LIKE AN MLM OR PONZI SHCEME SO THEY CAN BLEED YOUR WALLET DRY!!! If there was a rating for minus five stars this outfit rates a minus six. Again please be a smart and informed buyer and do your research first before even contemplating to move into or buying (aka renting) into any condo or apartment - there's are lot of well-run professional property management companies out there - however when it comes to this company it is the most rotten and foul apple at very bottom the barrel - period!

I wish I wasn't forced to put even one star here.....This property management company is horrible!…read moreFrom the non existent maintenance to grounds as well as buildings to the rude managers you have to fight with to get anything done and everything in between, I would have to say this company is nothing more than a glorified SLUMLORD. Garbage all over the place because the place refuses to replace the lock that had been broken and replace keys to residents. Half of the complex does not have a working garbage key, sooooo it all gets left out for the animals. Always nice to wake up to. You get a parking ticket if you have a job and cannot take a day off to go BUY a DIFFERENT coloured parking pass in order to have a guest. Awesome. You have to BEG to get the hedges trimmed, god forbid I ask them to cut out the giant hogweed that has also made its way into the fenceline! Leaking basement due to cracked foundation, uninsulated walls (apparently my problem) ect. ect. ect. The list goes on..... maybe a call to the health department is in order. We pay over $400.00 a month in condo fees, where that is going i have no idea. I wish I had never chosen this as my first buy, I guess there was a good reason that it was in my price range and had no bidding war. JUNK! DO NOT BUY WHERE THERE CROOKS ARE IN CHARGE! :(

There is barely any communication, and if you have the slightest issue with your unit, something such as filing a maintenance request, you have to go through hell. People who work here are rude, unhelpful, and ignorant, and far from being nice! The place is also too expensive for the size and the amenities and they continue to increase the rent no matter what. The staff sent incorrect forms and always going back and forth to correct them. I had asked for written contracts that were never provided to me. Was told payments would come in on a certain date and it wouldn't having to scramble to come up with cash flow to meet payments. When asked about missing payments never got calls returned or an e-mail stating miscommunication and payments had to be dropped in different funds. Also was informed verbally an amount of payments that got changed to a lesser amount due to further miscommunication. Overall not very accommodating property management company and had to cancel services with them. In a kind letter did suggest when improvements are made on their end I would consider using them in the future. If anyone needs further proof of the horrifying experience you can contact me and I can submit e-mail chains.
