Honestly, I didn't know what to expect here but I was pleasantly surprised! The gambling hall was clean and really well decorated. It wasn't rowdy on crowded on a Wednesday evening. Busy but not overly so. There were plenty of tables. I noticed the minimum bids were $10-$15 in some cases. There was also a huge bar and restaurant area to hang out in. We came for a private event in the back area beyond the red curtain. There was a golf simulator in the back. It was fun watching others take a swing. Food was catered from the kitchen. Everything was solid. My favorite was the chicken wings - not crispy necessarily but fried and had a good dry rub that had some hot pepper spice. I was not a big fan of the duck tacos. Very small, and the duck flavor was not super prominent, although maybe that's a good thing for some. The bar was busy, lots of (single?) men, some hanging out in small groups. The bartenders were busy but we got our orders in after a short wait. We noticed some people eating at the bar and their menu looks extensive! This is our 2nd time here. It's right off the freeway so it's the perfect spot to meet our friends from Roseville. It's almost exactly half way. We arrived on Thursday at 5:30 pm and got a parking spot out front. Due to the amount of people they also have an overflow lot to the side. There were plenty of booths available for dinner. We made reservations lost time, but didn't need to either time. They don't even put a reserved sign on the tables so reservations don't really work. We arrived before 6 so we were on time for happy hour. $2 off drinks and 50% off bites. We both ordered a pizza to share with out spouse and both ended up with a piece to take home. It made a great lunch for the next day. The crust was perfect and the pizza flavorful. We got the roasted Brussels Sprouts and loved them and they got a full priced Caesar salad which I had last time and loved. It's a huge portion, enough for 2 plus. We were invited by Stones to come try their brand new golf simulator room. What I love about this room is that it is completely private and you have the room to yourself and your guests. It is pretty spacious with a huge screen, a small lounge area with couches and tables, and a convenient bar area in the back to eat and hang out. They also provide 2 sets of clubs for you to use to accommodate both right-handed players as well as left-handed players. The simulation itself is amazing - it's great quality, the screen is huge and the experience was very fun. The staff were very attentive, professional and provided amazing service. Their food is wonderful - I really enjoyed the wings and the pizza and the duck tacos are DELICIOUS. This golf simulator room is great to host small, intimate groups, corporate team events, date night, or just to come and play with friends. I frequent Stones to play blackjack. Last week, I visited to participate in their blackjack tournament. While waiting for tournament entry, I sat at a table to play blackjack. While I was sitting at a table, minding my own business, a thug joined the game. At some point he suggested I sit out a hand to change up the cards. I suggested he go to another table as I had been there prior to him joining. We exchanged some words without cursing or threats. Soon after, I left the table to join the blackjack tournament. The thug later came over to observe the tournament and recognized me from our interaction earlier. It was at this point that he started screaming homophobic slurs and challenging me to fight him outside. To their credit, security stepped in and removed the thug from the building. Fast forward to 6 days later, and the thug was back in the building. This is unfathomable considering the commotion he caused and the threat he poses to other patrons. After hearing so much about the food at Stones Gambling Hall in Citrus Heights, on 93.7's Dog and Joe show in the morning (your weekday commute... if you haven't, check them out), I finally ventured into the place. It's a lot different than what I'd pictured, having been in some musty, smokey card rooms in the very early eighties. The is absolutely no must and no smoke!! It's beautiful inside!! But I wasn't there to play cards. I had a different mission. I was there for the food... or so I thought. It was happy hour, so I sat at the bar, perused the menu, and ordered the crispy beef spring rolls. They were very good; however, my mission was soon to change. As extraordinary luck would have it, a nice young bartender named Daniel happened to be tending. Now, I've been struggling with replacing "a nice young bartender," with "the Magical," but I think some readers might not take me seriously, or think I knew him previously, which I did not. Never-the-less, the words belong. Daniel, Bartender extraordinaire (that's a little more down to earth), was describing a drink to me, it's called a Blue Dream (yes, that's right ). It's made with, I forget exactly. A sprinkling of Fairy Dust, a zap from a magic wand, a good amount of The Force... oh, and blueberries with a sprig of mint!! This drink is indescribable. It is appealing to the eye, and an unexpected refreshment to the palate. I recommend calling first to see if Daniel is working, then hightailing down there for a Blue Dream, if nothing else. Pai gow tables are very obviously rigged. Tables do not hand shuffle and dealer has 2-3 pair each and every hand for over an hour. Pai gow is a favorite casino game due to the dynamic of high probability of pushing and yet we only pushed x2 in over 40 hands. Dealer even openly comments that "he's cleaning house" to a colleague. Super unprofessional conversations from dealer staff regarding relationships, quarrels with other colleagues and overall rudeness to players at the table. I've never been at a casino where the dealer is happy that they're making the players lose, which is completely unacceptable. When I did, I found out a falsehood had been told about things that had been said and that I was temporarily banned. After being told 90 days, politely and professionally following up with no response, I visited the establishment and was told I would get a call back the next day. After a few days and no return call, I sent another follow up email with again no response. I returned again and was told it would be reviewed in another 3 months. I have been gracious through this and given them every opportunity to make things right, when the reality is they dont want to acknowledge that their employee acted inappropriately and avoid having the conversation publicly. this place has a history of bullying people, and I have several witnesses to the altercation that their employee started. read more

I have video evidence of the incidences of other people allowed to isolate and re raise when players are all in. So think twice before you try to play here as they ARE STILL CHEATING.
