One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

Due to his poor execution, we have been responsible for late fees and penalties. He disregarded our request. According to other reviews, their taxes have been filed on time; however, for the past 2-3 years, our taxes have never been filed on time with Elliot. My recommendation is that he shouldn't take new clients if he does not have enough staff members in his team to meet the demand. He came in recommended but based on our interaction with him and his performance, we would not recommend him.

If I could give zero stars I would. I used this company from 2018-2025 for my small business. I…read moreassumed a company of CPAs would know how to do taxes, however I was incorrect. I questioned them for years on the inventory issues and finally fired them a year ago when they suggested I use someone else's sales tax ID to order wholesale items for my business. I had an independent accountant review my taxes and it turns out that they had in fact counted my inventory correctly every year and in 2021 alone I am due an amended return of $22,000 minus a $12,000 disallowance from the IRS. We still have to do 2022-2023 amended returns. This company has put me at risk of having to file for personal and professional bankruptcy and losing my health insurance as a disabled person. I cannot express how horrifying this experience has been and how they have screwed up my life and finances for the foreseeable future. Avoid at all costs If you are a current small business client with inventory products AND material components, get a second opinion, because they may have screwed you over too.

I paid them a large amount of money for a specific tax request just to be told that my payment dud not include the service I requested. That was infuriating. These people know their field, I'm sure, but their communication is just horrible. They feel like a company that is stretched too thin to provide any level of competent customer service whatsoever.
