Upon entry the types of smells my nose picked up definitely had my taste buds excited so I had to give it a shot. Now there are a few different types of waffles you can try and to add to the mixture you have a variety of toppings, sauces and ice cream to go with. I was in heaven. Being a complete craze for white chocolate I had to go with that for a sauce and paired it with coconut chocolate ice cream. What a match that was, every spoonful was amazing. I feel like if I lived in the UK I would be here very night, probably have to start my own waffles anonymous club if ya know what I mean.

They also seem to run the neighbouring seesha lounge. They serve American and Belgian style waffles and also crepes. Cheesecakes and various other cakes are available also. Once you've decided your waffle type or crepe you can choose one ice scoop of ice cream, one topping and one sauce. They have a great variety of sauces and toppings. The sauces in particular are quite varied including peanut butter and salted caramel. Extra toppings and sauces cost more but generally you will spend about the five pounds mark.

I'd barely even caught on to the new trend with social media in London, so imagine my surprise when I was shopping through the city centre and walked by Bubble Tap on its opening day last winter. They're a bit pricey, but portioned to share, so we ordered one with chocolate ice cream, Nutella, strawberries, sprinkles, and cream and didn't know what to expect in terms of wait time. Would I come back? It's a novel, "grammable" dessert but not something I'd go out of my way to eat again, especially not on my own. Since that visit, I've learned that they now offer menu combinations dedicated to the scientists of Cambridge, like the Newton or the Turing. Interesting.

I confess I love waffles (a lot!) so when we went in I was already pretty much sold on the concept…read more The ice cream is deliciously creamy, the waffles puffy, and the toppings fresh. My son, not a waffle fan, hedged his bets on the milkshake. Both of us left very happy. This place is delicious and I like that the fruit is cut up as you order rather than prepped and sitting there all day. The place is clean and the seating and cone holders fun. I would highly recommend it and while the prices are higher this is definitely a sharing treat or whole meal! In sum, a nice local place (it's not a chain, so tourists please support it like the rest of our independent stores in Cambridge)! It is very instagram-friendly food and because I'm a student I got a discount, so I would remind people to bring their student IDs too! This was my first visit and I would definitely go back for the strawberry banana one! Nom!

They brought wrong orders to both my friend and myself, argued that we had ordered wrong and it wasn't them. Therefore we were then expected to pay extra for their till staffs mistakes! They think waffle pattern wafers are waffles! The only polite member of staff was the busboy Conner. I did enjoy the fruit smoothie drink I had, but that was the only redeeming thing. They also only have one toilet in the whole place, which was dirty and didn't have any toilet paper!! All in all a bad experience to never be repeated. I found them to be a very poor imitation of Sprinkles in London. I don't recommend the place at all and was left sorely disappointed after expecting better. An update I have been back twice since my first visit, not by choice of my own. But thought I would add notes about those experiences also. Sadly nothing much has improved from my first visit, the second time we were seated downstairs - it was dirty and smelly. My third and final visit, we ended up queueing outside, people were pushing in and when we did get inside on a very cold day mid winter the staff turfed everyone out again - once finally seated the atmosphere and volume was horrendously loud, people screaming and shouting across the shop. And now that customers are made to queue at the counter to order and pay, there are two lots of queues in an already very narrow cramped shop, which meant that people were knocking into us as we sat waiting for our drinks. Even after we moved across the booth to be further away we had people knocking the table and some cheeky individuals taking a seat or putting their belongings down on our seats or the table!! NEVER again will I visit this vile establishment, hygiene seemed to have got worse staff don't care and the noise level is intolerable. With the volume of people passing through their doors - mainly children teens and young adults, I'm surprised the business hasn't been shut down by safety health and hygiene inspections.

There were duplicates of lots of the food/drink huts and I expected a wider range of huts selling goods like toys and decorations. It felt very sparse compared to what I'd seen in previous year's photos. This is a yearly addition to the city centre with stalls selling festive treats ranging from chocolate and tasty treats through to toys and ornaments. The real thing people go here for however is the food and even more importantly the drink. This is the one time of the year that Birmingham city council lets allows people to drink on the street (in designated areas) and people 100% take advantage of this! The bars and stalls are always full with people enjoying a range of mulled drinks and beers. I am a big fan of this market and even though it can be a little pricy at times its a welcome addition to November/December in the city. Go get yourself an oversize glass of festive cheer and welcome the Christmas market back to Brum!
