Place not worth it, it SUCKS! People very nice till they get you to sign up, then they are rude as hell. Not worth renting, ride the extra 10 min to go elsewhere it will be worth in the end. This place has a lot of issues that aren't disclosed when signing up for a unit. Namely, they fail to mention that 2 of the 3 garage doors used to access the indoor loading dock (you drive in and park), get stuck constantly and are unusable (it has been like this since I started renting from them almost 3 months ago and still has not been fixed). Only 1 garage door works which is on the back side of the facility, so you have to pull around the back side of the building, park in front of that door, then walk around the building to the main entrance so you can get inside the building to open the garage door from the inside, then you need to walk back around the back side of the building to your car and pull it into the indoor loading area through the garage door. With the amount of money this place makes, you'd think they'd have addressed these major access issues and fixed them by now. Makes me wonder where everyone's money is going, because the place is not maintained at all and the staff doesn't seem to care. The fact that this place wants to charge $60 a month for storage and has so many access issues when you're paying them to keep your belongings there, is a joke. There is no one to contact after hours once the office is closed, so if something happens, you're screwed. When I went there a couple weeks ago after hours, there was a family whose car was trapped inside the building because the garage door got stuck, so they couldn't leave, and had nobody to call to help them get out because the phone # goes to the office and rings and rings. I'm honestly kind of blown away that people think it's ok to run a business this way. read more

ZERO stars!!! If you like the classics, as in a classic bait and switch, Storage America at 37 Freight St, Pawtucket, RI is for you!! Alec and his boss lie like small children: "whatever prices are advertised online have nothing to do with us. We have no control over them, and will not honor them." Yeah. Ok. So here are the facts: The first month is actually $50/mo, which he refused to disclose - he just said "the computer pro rates the first month and I don't know what rate it's based on." Really? You can't add your "reduction to the ridiculous daily rate quote for the first month?" And on and on. Total con game. The advertised rate is only for three months, after you've paid the undisclosed first month rate of $50/mo, then it goes up to $50 EVERY month, which is ALSO undisclosed online. This is actually criminal fraud, and I've filed with the State Attorney General's office. Don't waste your time, unless you like childish double talk. Ridiculous. read more

Terrible costumer service. People who work there are terrible. They threatened me when my belongings were stolen and I told them I thought it was them.
