I found it a bit odd that they didn't make me sign anything or put a deposit down, but told them it's a deal. The next week they said they would deliver. In the meantime I started seeing the terrible reviews, news stories etc and got very concerned. But I figured since I put nothing down on it, I'll roll the dice. The day of original delivery came and I got a text from Iana saying delivery would be next Monday. Was a little worried but figured not that big of a deal. Day of delivery I didn't hear anything, I texted and got confirmation that it was coming. My 12-3pm window came and went. But by 5:30 the truck rolled in and 15min later my new shed was in place. Some MINOR quality issues, but nothing you wouldn't see in any new construction that's out there. Nothing to be of concern to me in anyway. very glad as of now that I made the leap of faith.

What made the situation even worse was the way I was treated. The conversation was about the poor quality of the shed, not about payments, yet I was threatened that they would come and pick up the shed if I didn't make my payment. I found this response rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I will continue making my payments and pay off the shed as agreed. However, my family is preparing to move and purchase another home, and we will need another shed in the future. Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing from Steel City Shed again, nor would I recommend them to anyone looking for a quality product and good customer service.

It was very hard to start after I used it for only a few months, so I took it back to them for repair. They fixed it for free under warranty. This summer, 2020, it again refused to start just when I needed it most for my garden. I was told it would be at least a 2-week wait until they could look at it. After waiting, when I went to pick it up they charged me $50 to "flush the carburetor", and they claimed the 5-yr warranty did not apply because the gas was "stale". I insisted the gas was fresh and gave me no problems when used in all my other equipment (lawn mower, weed eater, chain saw). They went on to say that the gas should not even be left in the tank for even a month. If this is true, then the manufacturer should so state it in the operator's manual, which they do not. Needless to say, I strongly advise anyone else to avoid buying an ECO model TC-10 rototiller, and further patronizing Wadsworth Tractor & Mower who fails to honor the manufacturers warranty. These are also sold at the big box store for less money, but I thought I would spend a little more in case I had service problems. Lot of good that did me. I see this business has historically a lot of good reviews. However, I think there was a recent change in ownership since I bought the tiller in 2018.

The issue is that far too much of the furniture looks like it came out of local hotels. Gaudy, Mediterranean style. The demographic they seem to be aiming at is 70 years old and above. I'm 63 and their inventory still reminds me of a trip to grandma's house or the lobby of an assisted living facility. There is nothing remotely modern, tasteful or stylish. I'm sure their buyers know their customer's tastes, but their customer base has to be dying off or aging to a point where they have little need for new furniture. I think Chez Del would be wise to update the styles they offer. In fairness, the staff is professional and friendly but I don't envy them having to move this stuff.

Over the past two years, I've purchased a few fill in pieces for my bedroom, breakfast room, and even an entire living room of furniture at Chez Del's popular summer warehouse event. I've always known exactly what I wanted, having an interior design background myselfl, and been able to make decisions easily. However, it was the purchase of my family room furniture that had me baffeled for the first time. I just couldn't narrow my ideas and decide on the right style and layout. With the help of designer Becky Harrell, my furniture was delivered this week and I am thrilled. Becky worked with me over a year and a half. She was gracious to quote multiple pieces, let me check out umteen samples of fabric and finishes, and never made me feel as undesisive as I knew I was being. She knew I wanted quality and I wanted a great price and so steared me to take advantage of the Chez Del fall upholstery sale. Becky came to the house and measured the room to put it into their design software and show me exactly how the furniture would sit in the room. We thought through all the fabrics and finishes and ultimately decided on a look that fit me, my family and our personality. With tons of family showing up for Christmas, the Chez Del team kept a last minute delivery slot open for me, followed up with manufacturers, and made sure we had furniture for our company. The delivery guys (Keith and Joe) are top notch. I'm a little picky and they took extreme care to cover my floors and carefully placed the furniture; often making slight adjustments to my liking. At installation, Becky informed me that the manufacturer of my sofas had left off a decorative feature I had ordered. Chez Del hired their furniture upholstery person to add the decorative features and handled the issue before I even knew about it. It was done perfectly and without my having to stress about it. That is excellent customer service! Bottom line, the furniture business is a tough one these days as manufacturing has changed a great deal. It's not unusual for the retailer to have to answer to quality issues, delays in shipping expectations, and a whole array of customer satisfaction issues. And, retailers are doing all this at lower margins and more online competetors than ever. Chez Del, their personal touch and expertise, is a gem in this fast changing marketplace. I don't have a problem with the nursery not guaranteeing their trees.. The problem I have is I questioned the staff on the health of the now dead tree I bought . In addition, I followed up many times by email and phone on advice of the tree. The staff never returned my email or phone calls. I'd probably buy a tree from this place again, but I'd trust my instinct better than the trees nursery staff's advice. The staff is no help and they won't respond to any questions after you have tree planted. Horrible customer service
