It was mainly because of Mary who was an icon at that facility, but also a gentleman named Tim who kept everything running there despite the cheapness of the owners who raked over their customers. I not only had the misfortunate to personally experience the lack of integrity on the part of the owners when I cleared out my Dad's unit after he passed, but also witnessed the unscroupolous treatment in the way they dealt with an older employee which led to his immediate resignation. I would give any other like venue my business before I gave one single dollar more to this business that shows a complete lack of respect for their employees and customers.

I waited no time to write this review. I made an appointment three weeks with Rollins prior to my…read moremove from Columbus to Cincinnati. I have the least amount of crap to move of anyone I know. I should have known something was wrong when I realized a confirmation email was never sent, which I requested. The operator curiously asked me why I would need a confirmation email, but nonetheless assured me one would be sent. It never was. Yesterday, I receive a phone call from Rollins, four days prior to my move. A voicemail was left to call them back. Despite the obvious urgency of this phone call, which at the time I was unaware of, the voicemail did NOT inform me that they would no longer be able to move me. Rollins called me again today to deliver this abysmal news. No compensation for the severe inconvenience was offered. "Sorry" does not amend this situation in the least. Luckily, I found another mover, but for $300 more and one day after the date I intended to move, thus further exacerbating an already stressful situation. Avoid these flakes. Shame on them.

I was starting to get in my truck when a lady wearing a stocking cap opened the door stating "I'm in a corporate meeting what do you need?" I advised her I wanted to rent a unit to store my car in, I could come back as she turned around walking back into the building as I followed her. She never invited me to sit down showing me a paper stating these are the only two units we have available. I stated "I wonder if this unit would house a Buick" to which she replied "This is what we have you can get one or leave," I walked out getting into my truck I noticed the gate was open with no signs indicating no one could enter. I drove back finding a door open on a unit that would be perfect for what I needed. As I pulled through the gate I parked at the office the same woman came out of the office door with the same AT-TI-TUDE she had when we first met. She asked me if I just drove back into where the units were. I indicated I had and she asked me very rudely, "Do you have anything in storage here? When I told her no she told me "DON'T YOU KNOW THIS IS A GATED FACILITY? COMMON SENSE WOULD TELL YOU NOT TO ENTER A GATED COMMUNITY! When I told her the gate was open with no signs indicating do not come in she replied THE GATE IS BROKEN and I advised her there were no signs indicating what she told me. I told her that I hope she got a better AT-TITUDE got in my truck and left. I was going to rent the storage unit I found with the door open but with her AT-TI-TUDE I left. I rented a unit awhile back to store my car in at Springfield Self Storage and wanted to store my car there again, With this ladies AT-TI-TUDE who did not introduce herself I will not go back or recommend Springfield Self Storage. My experience here has been terrible…read morewhen I first rented here it was under different management and it was great then but the people who are there now are terrible the security is not what they claim there is not onsite security around the clock they have someone who lives there but that lot is not monitored my unit was one of 7 units at least that was recently broken into the management never notified me about the theft they claimed they didn't know it had been burglarized and the manager there admitted she had not checked the lot after the thefts were reported to her and she wasn't required to check the units until the first of every month. Then after I moved what I was left with out of the unit they tried to charge me another months rent on the unit. I can't get anyone to return calls and I tried multiple times to contact the customer service line but the reps there are no help and I have tried to contact the district manager Fred Leonow and cannot get a response from him either. Then one call I did receive from public storage they called at 845 pm held the line and never responded when I answered the phone I am out thousands of dollars in property this company never even offered an apology and they have been no help in trying to resolve the problem and the insurance they force you to take is a waste of money as well. Don't waste you time money and energy on this place it's not worth it I definitely will never use any public storage again
