Though I no longer actively collect -- I've downsized since selling my house -- I still look at items that interest me and rarely pass up a deal. Mad Hatter has beautiful pottery. (I've collected Hull and Roseville for 35+ years.) Several booths specialize in kitschy mid-century items which I find fun. I debated about purchasing the snack bowls I photographed, which my mom had in the 1950s. (Decided against it. Nostalgia didn't win out this time.) You can breeze through the mall or spend hours looking. Parking is easy, the staff is helpful and as said, if you're looking to build a collection, Mad Hatter is worth a visit.

Contrary to reviews, I found the shop's personnel to be friendly and accommodating. Prices -- set by individual booth-owners -- are sometimes better than competitive. Likely due to their semi-rural location, merchandise is different - more interesting - than the urban antique malls I'm familiar with. I have a number of collections. Since I've downsized, I don't actively look to buy. BUT, if I find a deal, I take it. See the Roseville pottery I posted? The piece is pretty big, in perfect condition. I paid $44, including tax. (Elsewhere it would go for well over $100.) The last full week of most months, dealers throughout town host "Extravaganzas" with deals galore ... or so they say! Honestly, we found the owners to be extremely nice and accommodating; no issues at all. As an antique mall it's fantastic...with case after case of interesting stuff. The layout sort of draws you from one area to the other, and there's always something really cool right around the corner. Not sure why someone complained that the place is cluttered; we didn't find that to be the case at all. In fact, it sort of feel like you're walking through a small museum. Cases are well lit, most are organized, and we found the prices to be fair. We found several pieces to add to our collections. A major plus is the fact that they're open late on Friday, Saturday and Sundays; all the other antique places in the area closed at 5. Overall, we really loved the place, and look forward to a return trip.

We live in a hundred year old building; I'd been eyeing old advertising thermometers for my tiny porch. Apparently, they've become a 'thing' but not willing to spend hundreds of dollars as many are priced, I wasn't optimistic. T spotted one from Yeager Supply, still in business in Reading, PA. While not campy, and not as old as I'd like -- this dates to the late 1960's -- at $18 (plus the store's 10% discount) it was a no-brainer. Jewelry, pottery, furniture, you name it. I was disappointed a few years ago when their Covid precautions were not being taken seriously, so hadn't been for a long time. I was encouraged by recent positive reviews to give them another chance. It was so disappointing. The majority of the grounds are empty. What used to be rows and rows of venders is just empty tables. The booths run by long term venders that are there every week are overpriced and stale. The market is just a shadow of what it once was and I won't be going back.
