They were patient and helpful when I was trying to decide from their vast selection of fashionable frames. A few days later, I received my stylish Lacoste glasses. Flash forward to late 2017. My prescription changed, so I just wanted to replace the lenses on the same frame and see about getting my first prescription sunglasses. More than 2 years later, I got the same first-class treatment with even more choices than I remembered. Shortly thereafter, I received my new lenses & very handsome Giorgio Armani tortoise shell sunglasses! The owner's valuable advice on future options and the staff's friendly service have made me a loyal customer. They seem to enjoy what they do. They make you feel like you're their only customer. I used to go to one of their competitors a few doors away - that is until their optician almost totally ruined the glasses I bought from them by bending and twisting the arms on my Prada frame as if he was a pretzel maker. Desperate to save my glasses, I popped into A-Look to see if they could help after hearing from the excellent experience my sisters had at the shop. Alfred saw right away what was wrong and said he would do his best to fix the problem though he couldn't promise anything because the damage was pretty bad. Thankfully he was able to fix things and my glasses have felt amazing ever since. From the moment you enter the store to the aftercare service, A-Look pays attention to the details. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they take the time to listen and help you find what you're looking for. The selection is also great - lots of fashionable frames to choose from. I still love the frames I got two years ago, so a lens replacement made the most sense. Most places quoted really high prices for my prescription strength, but this spot was quite reasonable. Ramandeep was skilled and great at adjusting my glasses so they fit my face perfectly. I also brought in a couple of other frames that were misaligned that I didn't purchase there, and she fixed them up in a jiffy. One pair had been badly twisted after I accidentally knocked them into a door, and the few optical stores I asked were hesitant to help in case they break it. She managed to adjust them so they're at least wearable again - what a pro! From the brief look they have a nice curated selection of designer frames I see including sunglasses too. Though I didn't look too closely since I wasn't in the market for new eye glasses but they look nice lots of neutral ones I can see wearing. Note the entrance looks small, I accidentally went into the next door convenience store almost.

I looked around to see what they had available to me. It was nice to see some different glasses for a change. The ladies were very helpful and understanding to my needs. While I did t have a prescription at the time I was given the option of copying my old prescription from my current glasses or getting a new prescription from the Dr. the same day. All in all Wink Optical is a very up to date bright looking store, with different type of glasses, and excellent staff who care for their clients. If you don't require high power lens like I do, you can probably get a pair for around or under $100. Mine usually cost less the $200 with the thinnest lens because of my high pescription. The glasses take a few days to make. Once they have taken your measurement and you have selected your glasses. They ask you for a deposit and call in a few says to a week to pickup your glasses.

The owner said that cheap eyeglasses were like that. He could not do anything. The price per pair of eyeglasses was close to $200. I bought a pair of eyeglasses by less than $ 100 three years ago in another store. There was no crack between lenses and frame. I never see this kind of crack between lenses and frames in other eyeglasses.

I was a tough sad that after 28 years I came to the realization that I'm getting older and my frequent migraines were caused by eye strain and that I would need eye glasses :( There are many boutique eye glass vendors but on this occasion I wanted to go somewhere with a trusted name in the industry (and who wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg for an exam and if needed glasses). I ventured to the Aurora location and made an appointment to have my eyes examined the very next day and when I arrived I was examined by Dr. V Gupta. He was totally professional and efficient, and explained every step of the process so I was comfortable. The verdict came down that I required corrective lenses for distance, night time driving and when working in front of a screen (ah yes...I tend to do that last one a bit being an employee of an internet/social media company). The next step in the process was choosing my "new look" and Ryan the sales guy in the show room was patient and helpful. Taking me through all my options and understanding my slight bit of self consciousness. Prices were fair and I ended up going with a pair of rectangle thick frame Ray bans with Nikon lenses (apparently a superior lens). I was assured that I'd have my glasses within a week (5 days to be specific) however it took nearly 10 days, so for this reason and this reason alone, they lose the extra star. Perhaps it was an issue where the glasses were being made but the extra time without my glasses was not anticipated and frustrating. All in all a great experience and I love my new glasses.
