I had the BEST time here. We came here in the morning, so it wasn't too crowded. The cost was $94 CAD. There is a discounted price of $59 CAD if you come in the evening. After we checked in and got our locker keys, we went to get our bathrobe and towel. In the locker rooms, there are bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryers and flat irons are available. I arrived at the same time as two others, and our lockers were right next to each other. It was kind of hard to put my stuff away. I wish they spaced the lockers out. You are meant to have a relaxing time, so talking is discouraged and phones are not allowed. There are "2 Finnish saunas; 2 eucalyptus steam baths; 3 hot baths; 3 cold baths; 4 indoor relaxation rooms; 1 flotation bath; 1 temperate pool (infinity pool); 1 lazy river (Strøm River); outdoor relaxation areas." We also discovered a room with infrared chairs. The infinity pool faces the St. Lawrence River. Guests use the pool noodles to float in the "lazy river" that has water jets propelling them around. The temperatures of the baths were displayed, so you know what you're getting yourself into. I enjoyed most of it, but I only managed to dip my legs into the cold baths. Afterwards, we made our way to their restaurant, Nord, for lunch. Reservations can be when you first check into the spa. I ordered the trout gravlax. It was a light meal, but yummy. Before leaving, I took a shower. I liked how there is a space in the shower for you to change and hang your belongings. In all, we spent almost 4 hours here. I wouldn't have a problem with staying even longer!

This was a completely welcome respite after a week of traveling. I'm so glad that we decided to go on a whim after it was highly recommended by our friend (who at the time was working in Montreal). It was both our first time at a Nordic spa and we decided to do it on our first day in Quebec. The Nordic spa and Scandinavian hydrotherapy experience is to relax one's body first with a hot bath or sauna, then immerse oneself in cold water to release the tension. Alternating between the hot and cold temperatures with rest in between is one such ritual that people from the Nordic region have been practicing for centuries. Strøm Spa Nordique is built on the bank overlooking the Saint Laurent River. Keep in mind, one must shower, don on a bathing suit and sandal/slippers before entering any of the pools or saunas. Amenities: + Pools (indoor and outdoor) + Finnish Saunas (dry and steam) + Nordic baths and waterfalls + Beauty treatments + Lounges (indoor and outdoor relaxation areas with fireplaces) + Massage therapy + Panoramic views of the Saint Laurent River + Nord Restaurant + Separate shop that sells BORÉAL skincare products and swimwear + Free on-site outdoor parking Notes: * Hours: 8:30am - 10pm * Monday - Thursday fares: $64 before 5pm and $59 after 5pm * Friday - Sunday fares: $94 before 5pm and $59 after 5pm * A bathrobe, towel and locker is included as rental with each entry price * Payments accepted: Credit cards, Gift cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay Personal Faves: ~ Heated pool with Strøm River access aka lazy river where you can use foam pool noodles ~ Infinity pool overlooking the Saint Laurent River ~ Exfoliation Area (recommendation is to sweat it out in the dry sauna first before dry-rubbing with Himalayan salt and taking a cool shower to wash it all off) ~ Liquid station: filtered cold water dispenser as well as hot herbal tea that's brewed as soon as the stainless steel beverage dispenser is out (I believe they stop offering the tea after a certain time) ~ One of the Relaxation Rooms has the BORÉAL skincare products (cleansing milk, charcoal mask, and facial lotion) as well as eucalyptus cold towels ~ Tør Dry Sauna room overlooked part of the outdoor spa grounds as well as the Saint Laurent River ~ Vad Steam Bath room smelled like lemon balm (the ice dispenser outside wasn't working, but the recommendation was to rub ice on your skin after the steaming) If in the area, consider sparing some time to spend at Strøm Spa, because this Nordic spa experience is sure to relax and rejuvenate. During our visit, I appreciated that all guests adhered to stay silent and whispered if they wished to chat. It really does help set the tranquil atmosphere that these Nordic spas are known for. I suggested this place to another friend who was planning her visit to Canada in June and she totally loved it too!

Good god this place is magical. Go before sunset and plan to stay through dusk so you can spend time in the pools and watch the lights across the river turn on while you relax in warm pools. We spent 4 hours here and it was such a highlight of our stay.

While researching for things to do in Quebec, I came across Strom Spa Nordique on a YouTube vid and I knew I had to make a visit.  We also got lucky that there was a promo online for Buy 3 get 1 free entrance so our group of 4 took advantage of it on our trip.  My favorites were the heated lazy river where you can use foam pool noodles, the Infinity pool overlooking the Saint Laurent River, the various hot baths and this hidden indoor room with heated chairs. The guys in our group did try the cold baths for fun, which was NOT a good idea. They ended up screaming like little girls and we got a warning to get kicked out of the spa.  Apology to the patrons that day! We spent about 3 hours here trying all the pools and different rooms. If we had more time on our trip we would have definitely booked a massage.  I highly recommend Strom Spa to chill, relax and rejuvenate.  They do provide lockers, a bathrobe, and a towel.  Do bring slippers, a water bottle, and change of clothing.  We didn't have a car on this trip, so unfortunately we had to walk back up a very long flight of stairs to get back up the hill, therefore plan accordingly.

Right on the river we stayed at the infinity pool the longest, but the hot tub lazy river was a close second.
