Forget Starbucks. Hop on a free ferry in front of the train station. Bring your laptop and work remotely in a tiered, cinematic space with dozens of others who vie for favorite view points in the restaurant. The food at the Eye Bar restaurant is fine, but the real joy is the people watching and the view. Currently on view is a retrospective of Werner Herzog's work.

It's in a canal house right by Anne Frank's house so makes for a good second spot to lighten the vibes. You'll learn a bit about the history of the tulip, including how it came to Amsterdam and transformed Dutch society. They also have art and even biological information about the flower, itself. It really is a compact museum with a quick A to Z about the pretty flowers. And y'all know the gift shop is the best part, lolz. I bought some adorable wooden tulips for a great price there as a floral souvenir. Ticket prices are €7 for adults and €4 for students under 25, plus they do a family admission for €15 for 2 adults + 2 kids under 15 yo. We love a deal. Fun and light stop while in Amsterdam, not to be missed!
