There was also several sheets of ply wood that were not painted on another Gable. On the final day of the roofing project, Kolton assured me that everything was fine and there were no problems. He asked for the final payment and I gave it to him. The next day, I happened to look up and saw what I described in the photos. I immediately sent these photos and a texted message for Kolton to call me. After one day, I did not get a response to my text so I called Kolton and left a message to call me. By the third day after getting no response from Kolton, I sent him an email stating that I was giving him formal notice to respond and if I didn't hear from him I would file a complaint with the proper agencies. Several hours later that day, Kolton called me but not for the photos I sent him but regarding our request for a receipt, for all the money we gave him. He said he had just emailed a copy of the receipt for the final payment but I told him that I needed a receipt for the entire cost and not just the final payment. He promised that he would do it. I then asked him about the photos I sent him. He initially didn't want to do anything but finally agreed to repair the damaged Rake Board and paint the exposed areas. On the day Kolton came to paint and repair the Rake Board, he told us that he was not responsible for painting and only reroofing. He didn't seem happy but did it anyway. We understood that he wasn't responsible for painting but considering how much we had paid him shouldn't he have told us there were areas that needed repair and painting? The contract that we signed states that "Contractor agrees to undertake the Work diligently in a good and workman like manner and shall ensure that the work is executed in a manner consistent with good quality industry standards and practices" ," in compliance with any applicable Building Code". We worry that if Kolton wasn't going to tell us about the unpainted ply wood and Rake Board, what other things are there that we don't know about. During the entire time of the reroofing, we didn't know what days the workers would be coming or when the project might be completed. It would have been less stressful if Kolton would have. replied to our text and phone calls during this time. We are in our seventies and have never experienced this type of behavior in all our years dealing with contractors. We are still waiting for our receipt he promised almost a month ago!

My husband and I live in Seattle and have a mobile home that we are going to live in in Sequim…read morestarting next year while we build a cabin nearby. Unfortunately, the roof began to leak, and I contacted this business because they were #1 for the local area on Yelp and had good reviews. I called on Sunday and they returned my call on Tuesday. I understand that they were delayed in calling me back because they were busy. The woman on the phone was friendly and verified that they can do repairs on mobile home roofs, so we set up an appointment to meet sometime that Thursday. I advised them that I did not live over there currently, and would have to come from Seattle to meet him that day. I had to plan to work virtually from the mobile home Thursday and therefore, go over Wednesday night on the ferry, because I start work early in the morning. He contacted me and told me that he was on his way from Port Angeles late Thursday morning. Unfortunately, he would arrive right before I had to host a virtual meeting, but I thought we had enough time. He arrived and he looked at the leaking area inside and went up to look on the roof. He came back down a few minutes later and we tried to talk about what the plan was, but I had to start hosting my meeting immediately and we could not finish. He said he'd call me so we could finish the conversation to talk about options. That was Thursday at lunch time. Two voicemails from me and 3 days later, still nothing from him to "follow up" on our conversation about potential options. Yeah, I understand busy, but come on- blowing me off like that? You've had enough time to give a quick phone call. That's just unprofessional. But what really ticks me off is that he also knew that I had to make a special trip to come over and meet him there (including the expense of the ferry back and forth) just to meet him for this appointment! I do NOT recommend this business. It seems like he is potentially *only* interested in big ticket/contract business. He does not charge an hourly rate and will only bill by project. He told me that he was one of the only contractors approved to apply a certain type of roof membrane for a complete roof replacement, etc. , etc. Yeah, whatever. * * * Summary on this guy: * * * NOPE * * *- you might want to read up on simple business etiquette if you want to keep your business, young sir. Even if you don' t want to do the job, at least say that it doesn't fit out of respect for people's time. I wouldn't be so ticked, but I had to take a lot of time and pay for the ferry to go back and forth, only to be left hanging. * * *

They…read morewere timely in their communications and delivered all with a friendly professionalism which I value & appreciate. I can't say enough good things about the level of care and respect they had for my home, yard & property during the replacement process. I personally think you can learn a lot about a company by noticing how they choose to conduct the work itself. Their job site was well organized and at the end of each working day, they left things super tidy, organized and out of the way for us in the evenings. It is the attention to worksite details like that which I believe can't help but spring from, and translate into, the quality of the workmanship itself. Only the test of weather/time can truly show that a roof is well installed, but I have no doubt that ours is and I know that Pepe & Chris and their crew will stand by their work if any issue should ever arise in the future. Highly recommend them on.

They installed Malarkey Vista AR composition shingles that match the roof on our garage that they did a great job on several years ago. The roof on our house is not simple. There are several dormers, two main ridges, shed roofs on long bump outs on the side and returns on gable ends. The removed a metal chimney we no longer use and cut in ridge vents. The house is stucco and they neatly and properly flashed and counter flashed everything. In addition, the porch has a hip roof with a 4' x 5' flat section on which they put a PVC roof to replace roll roofing. They meticulously protect the house and plants and clean up everyday. I highly recommend them.

(The final inspection failed on my building permit for this re-roof done by another contractor who failed to return to make the necessary corrections. After waiting 4 months for this contractor, a friend recommended AAA Roofing.) AAA Roofing made all the necessary corrections and gave me a 5-Year Certification on his work. (This was something I wasn't aware existed, so it was nice to deal with someone who stood behind their work, for a change.) My roof now looks beautiful! AAA cleaned up the mess as they went along and left everything neat and clean. (I was cleaning up after the previous roofer for months and also repairing damages that were done while they were here.) It has been so refreshing to find someone who knew what they were doing and was conscientious about the work done. My thanks to Jesse Zenonian and his crew for a job well done. I would highly recommend AAA Roofing!
