Straiton is starting to go downhill. The large Next store is a great addition but some good stores have closed and are slowly being replaced with furniture and carpet shops As if there isn't enough of those! I mean, having Dreams, Carpet Right, SCS, Tapi Carpets, Fabb Sofas and others in one shopping centre seems quite overkill if you ask me.
Due to Edinburgh's growing population, Ikea is now even busier and cramped, with the queues for the restaurant now extending out of the pens at peak times.
I still enjoy Sainsbury's but it is getting a bit run down.
Poddingtons, Next and Ikea are keeping me coming but the Bypass is a nightmare both getting there and back.
So far, it looks like it is about to close down with the amount of furniture shops opening. read more
