Oh my head, the hot chocolate. The decor is pleasant, cheerful, and well lit. The booth was comfy and our table was clean. An ice cream parlour is never very crowded in December, so I can't say how good the service would be when it's busy, but we found Mario to be attentive and helpful. (Not to mention young and handsome - but don't tell my boyfriend I said so!) We knew his name because three separate parties of Italians came in to drink espressos and loudly greet him and each other, which I personally consider an excellent sign in an Italian café. But now to return to the hot chocolate. There were eight varieties, from chili to amaretto to dark chocolate. It was incredibly thick, creamy, using obviously high quality chocolate, and freshly made to order. It warmed us right down to our toes, and it was so tasty I wanted to lick out my cup. I had the milk chocolate, and my boyfriend had the nougat chocolate - and we were both very impressed. It's among the top five hot chocolates I've ever had.
