We were at the outlet mall and saw this place across the street. We decided to stop in and see. I see a lot of reviews negative about service but we went at 5:30 and got right in. I am guessing later or on the weekends it is much more crowded. The server was awesome so that was great. The atmosphere is really fun. It is kind of a steampunk look. It is a large place which is why I think it may be more crowded later. I love me a good wedge salad so I had to order one here. Be prepared as it is a full 1/2 head setting on a regular mixed greens salad. It is enough for 2 easily. I ordered the 3 tacos one with chicken and 2 steak. They are also packed with meat and enough to share. They were very tasty but the chicken was a little spicy for me but I am old so take that into account. The steak was tender and very flavorful. The wife had the chicken cordon bleu. We would have had 5 stars except hers was just a premade breaded chicken with sauce on it. My go to every time I'm in Utah. The pub food is good, my family and I have probably had everything on the menu. The beer selection is good but could be better. I do love their Italian Pilsner and their Flat Iron IPA. Even my daughter's friend who is a vegetarian, had a great Beyond Meat burger there. Tried Strap Tank Brewery for the first time! Our server did great at managing our group of 15 people. She was calm and quick. Our food didn't take very long to get out to us. I liked my Ahi Tuna, it had the just the right amount of kick. I would love to try out more of their menu. The location was full and loud with people and music. But the vibes were good and so was the decor. The one bummer was that in the women's restroom, the soap dispenser was not working and they had a sign telling you to go out to the hall to use hand sanitizer. read more

The ambiance is loud and crowded, the decor is an overwhelming disarray of items and antiquities. I went with a friend and was seated at a pretty small table, we had to shout to hear each other... The truffle fries were good although some were broken apart or smashed, the amount of rosemary was overwhelming but I'd still order them again. The coconut shrimp were my favorite I could have eaten them all night! But I'd hardly call them "jumbo" The Raspberry mojito was heavenly hands down! I also got the Bartlett it was good but very sweet for me but if you like lemon you'll love it I got the steak tacos and was disappointed. They had a flavorless amount of heat as well as the rice it came with. It does not say anything about spice on the menu. Yes, I am white but I like and can handle a good amount of spice! It had so much heat that I could only eat half of one. It came with three very large tacos. The steak was overcooked with a fair amount of gristle and pieces that couldn't be chewed. It was a fairly busy night for a Monday, our waiter was hardly around and had a hard time keeping things straight/remembering. Really great service. The hostess sat us really quickly and our server, Aundreia was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. The wings were actually the highlight. The dry rub seasoning they put on them is the perfect mix of salty and sweet I wish I could buy the seasoning. I ordered the steak salad which was good. The steak wasnt the best quality and the amount of meat was disappointing. The amount of pickled onions and bleu cheese crumbles however, was overwhelming actually. It felt a bit wasteful. I would recommend Strap Tank but next time I'm not ordering the steak salad. The type of lettuce they use is not to my liking either but my boyfriend got the wedge and really liked it. We also tried the spinach artichoke dip and I don't think I will order it again. It wasnt very flavorful and the artichoke chunks were huge. I prefer smaller pieces to be able to spread across the pita chips. The ambiance inside is nice and they have lots of windows so there are nice views and sunlight coming into the dinning area which I really like. read more

Blue cheese salad craving fulfilled!!! Delicious salad! Forgot my leftovers guess I'll need to go back. Fries are a little salty, but the ranch was great to dip them in. The decor of the brewery was dope. Appreciate the old school gas pumps at the entrance. There's a 30-45 minute wait on Saturday night, but the weather was nice and we enjoyed the mountain views. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, I'd recommend taking your order to-go. Food is great, but it can get loud in the restaurant. I am giving them 4 stars because I called all day long trying to make a reservation for 13 people and it always sent me to the voicemail after ringing forever. I did join the waitlist on the website but they only allow you to book up to 10 people, so we had to make two reservations and then merge them when we got their causing us to have to wait an additional 20 minutes. read more

I settled on the Blackened Salmon. I judge the quality of food based on my experience with salmon dinners I enjoyed in France. I would rate this salmon a four plus, on a scale of five. The salmon flavor was enjoyable, the rice pilaf was typical and the vegetables were mainly crook neck and zucchini squash. My wife settled on the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. They were a little more spicy than she was expecting. There are other items on the menu we will try on our next visit. The ambiance reflects the owner's interest in the original Harley Davidson motorcycle factory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is their shining star! read more

I've visited Strap Tank Brewery twice-and both visits were for a catered, private group event, not a sit down dinner. However, since both visits were so good, I thought it was time to drop a few words to let them know how I appreciated the food, drinks and service each time. Most recently, the event I attended had a battered shrimp on the buffet that I am still thinking about. I'm not certain if it's on the regular menu or not, but I will definitely be looking for it when I return to have a regular meal in the restaurant. It was delicious. Service for our private group was attentive and subdued-they didn't get obnoxious about interrupting our event, but checked in when appropriate and kept our drinks filled. Never have I wanted more to be wowed by food and service as much as I was by atmosphere but, I was underwhelmed. The decor is truly a unique whimsical steampunk vibe which has found a way to outdo even the nostalgia TGI Fridays was once known for. The issue for me was that the food was just eh. Ordered the blackened salmon salad and was so disappointed at the tiny crumbles of tuna instead of juicy slices of blackened tuna I was expecting. The hubs tried the pizza and gave it an ok rating. The steak sandwich and ahi tuna friends ordered looked like better bets to hedge. The service was really just below average. Had 3 kids with me and all were given adult menus, asked for kids menus, received 2. The idea of reusable kids menus being laminated with activities is environmentally friendly but they were all out of dry erase markers so that made a seek and find lackluster and not entertaining which was more time for me to try to entertain them with Dad Jokes or whatever I could think of while also trying to entertain new friends. My server tried to hold back his annoyance about my Celiac disease when asking about Gluten Free items but did end with an "I'll make sure to note it for the cook" while I used my best guess on what wouldn't be hiding gluten in the recipe. The inside of the restaurant feels like a crossover between a steampunk movie and a mechanic shop. It is really cool, while still maintaining a good sense of cleanliness. The food was great. I am pleased to post a "Most Improved" review for Strap Tank. They've come a long way since my last dining experience. WIN: Our group of 6 was seated within 7 minutes of arriving with zero reservations on a Friday night. WIN: Our waitress was very attentive and came back to check on us multiple times. WIN: The cocktails were delicious! I recommend the Bartlett. WIN: The live music was a hit! Even though my experience was leaps and bounds better this time around, I still haven't been wow'd by this Strap Tank location. We didn't have silverware until after all of our food had arrived, the food arrived lukewarm, and the overall quality of each meal was just "OK." Strap Tank is pretty good. I've tried their burgers and their pasta so far, and you get pretty much what you expect. The waiters don't rush you and can answer menu questions well. It's a typical bar type of atmosphere, so it can get a bit loud depending on the time of day you decide to go. The parking situation is ok as long as you know when to arrive. One tip I would give is to try and go before their busy times, as this plays a role in both where you can park and where you're seated, which can have an impact on your overall experience. read more

Zero Stars We ordered the two piece fish and chips. The fish was hot and crunchy as it came out, but as it sat it got soggy and was drenched in oil. We also ordered the bacon cheese burger, and paid the extra $2 sweet potato fries. I ordered it on a gluten free bun, which was huge mistake!! The bun was stale and hard! It was difficult to bite into, and eventually I just would rip pieces of the bun off and just eat the burger. The hamburger was undercooked and almost raw. The combination of tough bun and raw burger was disgusting, I couldn't eat it. The sweet potato fries were cold and tough, wouldn't recommend pay extra for them. Our server was okay, but when I wanted to return my burger to be cooked longer or maybe get a new softer gluten free bun, she was serving other tables. She didn't check on us for a while, so I just ate my mediocre food! The atmosphere was great! The design of the building and rooms are so cool! The views from the windows are beautiful! Every surface is solid, so the noise echoes. People talking gets amplified, and it can get extremely loud! The music is loud and just contributes to the noise issue! We had a family sitting right next to us with a toddler that was so loud and would scream and cry about everything! She would scream so loud I couldn't hear a word of conversation! Strap Tank is located right next to the outlet mall in the middle of the Silicon slopes in Lehi. Here are some things we enjoyed: -The food was very good. They have a large menu with something for everyone. -I very much appreciated that they took my gluten allergy seriously and warned me of any items that have gluten in it. -The decor and design are very unique. One of my friends described it as "kitchy" while another said it was "old school garage vibes." -They have a great selection of drinks with their own root beer. Super unique! Here are a few things we were not fans of: -The napkins are like rags they use in a car shop. While it fits the vibe, those are very rough on the face and are not super absorbent. -The plates and bowls were very rough, not so smooth. Not our favorite. We have come here a few times and are big fans when we come on the right day! The only reason I take away a couple stars is because: 1) Often we are waiting a loooong time for our food. 2) Someone's food typically comes out a little soggy- almost like maybe our table was waiting on one more dish and so the rest were waiting under the heater. For the first point, I mean you can't blame them for being busy! They've got amazing food and a line out the door! We just try to avoid it on a weekend night. The second point, some better planning from an operations standpoint could help! We love the vibe of the restaurant. So many fun decorations, and there's often live music which we love to listen to. The yelp reviews didn't look promising that we almost went somewhere else. The parking lot was full, so we decided to check it out. This place is a good brew pub. We started with grabbing a beer at the bar. I had the Kolsch, and my partner had the Saison. Both beers were very good. I also tried the nitro stout, very smooth. The food is great. I had the prime rib dip and my partner had the brisket. Good flavor, not overly cooked. The food came out pretty quickly which is a nice change. I know many places are dealing with staffing issues, but they seemed to be well staffed. Really friendly staff, from the bartenders to the wait staff. We asked them for recommendations and they were helpful. This is a place we will definitely come back to. It's nice to have a brewery around here. read more

For an early dinner I came to Strap Tank. At 4:30 on a Sunday, I received a 25-30 minute wait. That estimate proved correct, and I received seating at 5. I ordered the fish and chips ($15). The fries seemed solid with 2 different dipping sauces. The fish, however, had a thin, almost-soggy batter with little texture. The fish could have also benefited from a quick brine or salt rub beforehand, as the dipping sauces cannot completely compensate. The beer selection seemed decent, with various local options and styles ranging from kolsch to nitro stout. Also, at this time, each pint was only $5. Next time, I'll skip the fish and chips and order something more normal, like a burger. read more
