From the outside, it looks like a really small and old building, and you'd expect the inside to be dim and dusty with rickety stairs, but the inside is actually like any other modern library - brightly-lit, clean, and carpeted. But the really cool thing is that it still looks like a really old building from the 16th century on the outside! I frequented this library when I was studying Shakespeare in England. They used to have free internet, but they started charging a minimal fee when I was there - which is understandable since it's mostly tourists who go and try to take advantage of free internet. It's still really inexpensive compared to internet cafes and the hotel internet. The book selection isn't the largest, but it's in one of the most unique and historically significant towns in the world. If you're ever in Stratford-Upon-Avon, you definitely need to pop in and have a look! read more
