This was my husbands favorite restaurant in Madrid! If you are a vegetarian, forget about a meal here. Drinks were fantastic! The food here was actually very creative. Service was top notch. Recommend

Street XO was one of the standout meals during our trip to Madrid. We arrived at around 10 pm without a reservation and were able to grab a seat at the bar while waiting for an opening. I was willing to be seated on the patio to shorten our wait but I am glad counter space opened up for us; eating at the counter was such a vibe, and I wouldn't want to miss that part of the experience. While waiting at the bar we ordered cocktails; both were a pleasure to watch being made, and these bartenders practice sorcery! Chipping from a large block of ice, smoking things, they put on a good show! I told the hostess I was a pescatarian when we arrived and she noted on both the drink and food menus which items would be off limits for me because they contained meat. She also noted which items could be tweaked to become pescatarian or vegetarian. I really appreciated this attention from the hostess and was extremely impressed by it. Once seated at the counter in the dining room we enjoyed watching the chefs cook, they have a well-oiled machine in the kitchen. For food we shared: Crabs & Chips (24 Euro), Sandwich Club Vegetariano (14 Euro), Croquetas (de la pedroche, 19 Euro), Une Vaca Viajando de Tailandia a Mexico (24 Euro), and Cheesecake Helado (11 Euro). Crab and Chips was tasty and a fun dish, the Club sandwich was skippable, and the croquetas were good, but I felt the creaminess of the croquetas' filling overpowered the raw tuna on top. The absolute show stealer for me was the "cheesecake" dessert. Labeled a cheesecake on the menu, it seemed more like an ice cream sundae to me, and I mean this in the best possible way. If you like sweet and salty, this is the dish for you, the cheese cake ice cream is topped with caramel popcorn, micro basil, and dollops of guava sauce... it was heaven on a plate. The cheesecake was my favorite dish, followed by the Crab & Chips. My fella really enjoyed the Beef Check dish. Our bill came to 140 Euros and we left extremely full and happy. Not only was the service at Street XO great, but the vibes were too. We were seated next to a local couple that were so nice to chat with and they had tried everything on the menu already, so we got some pointers from them on what to order.

We walked in and checked in with the girl which took down our name, number, allergies, etc and waited a long time to be seated yet everyone that came in after us got seated right away (wasn't a reservation issue but not even sure why the delay). Finally got seated at a giant bar (no tables). It was around 2pm and this place was like a disco -- I guess some folks love that aspect ... trance type music playing loud. Food was very eclectic, tasty actually but just a bit odd to us all the way around. Overpriced but I guess presentation is nice so you pay a premium for that and music. We were extremely underwhelmed to say the least... we had to go for a quick ham sandwich after we left as we were still hungry after $70 appetizers and 2 drinks. We just weren't the target audience , I suppose. Good luck

If I could give this a 3.5 I would. Don't get me wrong the food was probably one of the best meals we had in Madrid in still thinking about the corn and the pork belly dish but here's 3 things that annoyed me: The music levels are insanely loud I get it's the vibe but if it got turned down maybe a notch it would be great Two: they charged us for what we that we didn't ask for they just filled the empty cups on the table as they came to take our order and talk to us about the menu 2.50 euro per water Three: we ordered the beef dish shown in my pics but we did not add the truffle ourselves. We just wanted the dish that cost 19 euro but when I saw the receipt there was an additional 15 euro added to ur bill for the "truffle" So that was pretty annoying other wise the food was excellent

Bad Food Poisoning!!! We went on 10/2 and the (3) of us in our party got sick from the food. (2) of us got food poisoning and (1) of us got really bad indigestion. Now looking back this place lacks hygiene. The workers wiped their hands on their apron after touching things that weren't food. I didn't see them wash their hands. At first we were blown away by the venue, lights, music, cocktails, and food presentation! However, the day after has been horrible. Please please train your cooks on proper hygiene and handling of the food. We are visiting Madrid from the USA and this place came highly recommended, so we were excited. It was a disappointment. I added photos - again, the presentation was great, we were excited as we are foodies! But the food poisoning that came the next day, has been very bad. Do NOT RECOMMEND.

What a fun and unique experience! Definitely come around 7:30pm and put your name on the wait list for the night- they don't take reservations in advance. You can get a spot at the bar while you wait for the rest of the restaurant to open. The Blood XO comes in a fun anatomical heart cup and the Dinosaur egg (super sweet as we were warned by our waitress) came in a cute cracked egg cup with dry ice. Someone sitting next to us also took a video haha The food was a mix of lots of fun flavors that worked well. We tried the dumplings pekines, sashimi, lasagna Koreana, tako de pulpo, and pork belly which were all delicious. The lasagna was actually our least favorite even though it was one that came highly reviewed by many others. Overall, this was a fun experience and I loved the vibe of the restaurant.

Foodie PARADISE!!! I heard so many great things about this place and decided to give it a try while in Madrid and it didn't disappoint. This place is straight MAGIC and INCREDIBLE. I love the Spanish-asian fusion dishes I had and all I can say is this place is immersive, amazing, out of this world and def worth the time. Amazing service, great ambiance and able all AMAZING food. 10/10

What an incredible restaurant! We heard of this restaurant as we were preparing for our Madrid trip and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We went on a Friday night and got there shortly after they opened at 7:30 pm and were quickly seated in their waiting area where we order drinks. My fiance got the famous dinosaur egg and I got the XO Sangre and both were delicious and came in fun cups. We were soon taken into the dining area which looked and felt like an outdoor market with bright signs, lots of noise (fun music and chefs yelling all the orders to each other), and high top bar seating around the kitchen. Every dish was delicious in its own way, and while I normally eat a more vegetarian diet with chicken and shrimp, I was blown away with the salmon dishes and practically everything we got. I don't remember the names unfortunately, but the menu seems to change frequently anyway. The servers tell you how to eat the food and while it can be a little hard to hear them, I wouldn't have it any other way. I can say this is by far the best restaurant we've ever been to and we will certainly return next time we're in Madrid.

Second time to visit Street XO and it was as excellent as we remembered. Six years ago, we arrived to stand in line for nearly 2 hours. This time, we arrived 30 minutes before the restaurant opened but were able to sit in the adjacent bar and put our name on a "list" to be able to be seated as soon as the restaurant opened. The atmosphere at Street XO is electric. Including the thumping beat of the music! This is not your quiet, romantic dinner place. Which was fine with us--we were on a business trip. The louder and more fun, the better. The seating encircles the kitchen so you get to see and hear the staff doing the cooking, plating and serving. It's hard to capture the full experience in a review, but know that the cocktails are creative, the food is unique and the experience is memorable. I don't think our group will ever visit Madrid and not visit Street XO. It's one of our happy places.

One of the most unique dining experiences with innovative and flavorful food! They do not take reservations, so it is best to come 20-30 min before opening in order to ensure first seating. There is both an indoor and outdoor seating area - the indoor allows you to sit at the bar that surrounds the kitchen and watch the chefs work their magic, the outdoor is a good alternative for those who do not want to listen to loud clubbing music as they dine (which is the vibe of inside). We tried the Vietnamese spring rolls, Peruvian sashimi, Vietnamese steak, and sashimi croquettes filled with kimchi - all of which were unique and well cooked, with strong flavorful sauces. The food is a tad on the salty side but absolutely delicious. Wish we had the room to try more dishes as there are many that look inciting.

What an immersive experience at Street XO. Since you walk in you are teleported into a wild place! The music the decor and the overall ambiance take you to a whole different world. The menu was very diverse with many different foods that fuse different cooking styles with that of Spain. Each plate had a purpose and a process to get all the flavors. All of this enhanced the experience. Additionally, the service was top notch. Cool spot, will make a stop again when I am in Madrid !

Volvemos definitivamente!

I think you come here more for the experience than the actual food. But also you most likely saw it from the Netflix show Somebody Feed Phil since most people on the queue had mentioned that is how they heard about this place. I cannot stress this enough come 30 minutes before the place is actually open because there will be a queue and it will guarantee you first entry in. Otherwise, you're waiting in the mall hallway in a very long queue for 1.5hours waiting for the first wave to finish eating. Luckily we got here super early and were one of the first groups in so zero wait! The food is a Spanish and Asian fusion mix which I think most of the combos worked well together, and the portions are filling so probably no more than 5 tapas. The taste was average though even though it look cool. They make decent cocktails that come with an experience that you can see in the photos. Don't expect to have much of a conversation here as the music is loud like concert levels blasting, so drink and eat and enjoy the commotion in the kitchen if your sitting at the countertop. The decor was very amusing I have to admit I would want to take some of those signs as magnets if they sold them! The staff are very bilingual (Spanish/English) and hustle hard. Just speak up since that music is blasting!

When it was time for our reservation we were greeted and seated by a nice man who turned out to be the chef/owner himself, Marcos Gil. He went through each item on the menu with us and suggested wine pairings for our selections. We ordered the leeks, salmon, veal cheek, and venison, a daily special. They were all incredible! Each dish was not overly sophisticated and let the main component truly speak for itself. We could genuinely taste the craft and care that went into each dish. The dessert was no exception. Despite being a modest, unassuming restaurant, the space was intimate and inviting and the service was excellent along with the food. Worth more than any three-star Michelin meal any day.

Since there were 4 in our party, we ordered a selection of their hot and cold small plates to share - ceasar salad, croquettes filled with stew meat, fried clams, and tortilla patatas. The tortilla patatas took the prize for me. Excellent, and I could have eaten more. Next came our main dishes, which we also shared - grilled hake, grilled lamb, and macaroni bolognese. What stuck with me was that food is what you'd get in top-notch Michelin-starred restaurants but the atmosphere is far from those aloof feelings typical of those places, on the contrary, it's warm and feels like you're in your casual local bar with your best buddies. What is greater than having 5-star food but being relaxed enough as if you were at a friend's house? The service is attentive and friendly, the servers are patient and professional. They take their time to explain anything you might need and make proper recommendations. The plates are on a smaller size, so if you have a big appetite you will have to order quite a bit, however, every single item was a hit. Each dish is creative, with perfectly combined flavors, nicely balanced, textures on point, and the presentations are stunning. A work of art comes to your table every time. It's difficult to suggest individual dishes because I can say that everything is fabulous but the Ceviche was something supernatural. Don't forget the cocktails! They are another experience in themselves. Same standard of beautiful presentation and great flavor combinations to choose from. This hidden spot deserves more recognition than it has. Hard to sing enough praises for them and I will be thinking about this experience for some time.
