I didnt know what to expect as an employee but I was blessed to be given the opportunity and experience there. I enjoyed witnessing the intelligence of each child's growth. It was most difficult to monitor the children during their lunch hour as a mass of 30children at one sitting with 2adults overseeing them. Lots of energy is expected in this job with monitoring children and chores expected to be done ON schedule. Independence is taught here and expected as they age. I missed them and think of each as time moves forward.

She leads with dedication, high standards, and a strong commitment to both the children and staff. While no workplace is perfect, I have always felt supported and valued here. Safety, compliance, and communication are taken seriously by our team, and any concerns are addressed through appropriate channels. I've personally seen firsthand the care and effort that go into maintaining a nurturing and organized environment for both the children and staff. Unfortunately, like many workplaces, we occasionally encounter challenges that can disrupt the smooth, safe, and nurturing environment we strive to maintain. Issues such as frequent call-ins, difficulty following established guidelines, or failure to remain engaged and present in the classroom--such as through improper phone use--can impact both staff and child well-being. To better support our team and ensure the highest standard of care, we are implementing a policy that removes personal phones from the classroom. This change is intended to reduce distractions, prevent avoidable incidents, and increase meaningful engagement with the children. I also want to take a moment to recognize Jessica Lopez, our director. Since I began working here in February, I've never had a leader who shows such genuine care for her team. She ensures we have the tools and support needed to succeed and checks in with us regularly to see how we're doing. Jessica consistently acknowledges and rewards hard work. I started as a full-time floater and was promoted to lead teacher within a month. By May, I was asked to mentor new teachers, and now I'm in the process of becoming an On-Site Supervisor--an opportunity she offered because she sees potential in me and values my contributions. In the last few years the school has changed. It's not a family friendly place anymore. They are now top heavy in administration and the kids are treated more as a commodity than children. There are new people leading the school now and I think they are trying to turn it into a "prestigious" private school. It's not the loving Christian centered place it used to be. This will be our last year at this school which is really sad for us as a family.

She is one of the hardest working and most pleasant people we have come across since moving to Des Moines. Our daughters primary teacher is Ms. Nina who has loyally and cheerfully served Cadence for 11 years. 11! She handles our daughter so well- is patient, caring and takes time to talk to us about her classroom development nearly everyday. Ms. Megan's classroom occassionally teams up with Ms.Nina's and her Efforts with her classroom are noticible. She is creative, playful and intentional- both women are. I Admire their profession so much and my family is deeply grateful for the role they are playing in shaping our three year old Girl. The open door policy is great and you can pick up or drop off anytime needed. The kids' teachers are always willing to chat and let us know about how my kids' day went.

We have loved Primrose since the beginning. The owner, staff, and teachers have always had the best interest of the kids at heart. We, as parents, have full faith in the care our children receive during the day. This gives us the peace we need to focus on our careers. Any "issues" we have had along the way, have been professionally handled by all. Our kids love their teachers and the teachers have so much care and love for our babies. They have a nice locker system where, when you get checked in you get assigned a locker where you put belongings and your other forms of ID/keys, etc. You can schedule online which was another bonus! Staff was super friendly, they made the process super easy and I was in and out quickly! The testing center is clean and quiet, if you are bothered by any noise they have noise canceling headphones, and they also have headsets for audio portions.
