They provided an experience that honored our loved one's memory while supporting our family in a way that truly made a difference. I recently faced the challenging task of arranging my loved one's funeral and initially contacted several local funeral homes. While they were prepared to handle our needs, a timing conflict left me feeling unsettled. Thankfully, we decided to reach out to Coleman's Family Mortuary, and it turned out to be the best decision for our peace of mind. From start to finish, the service provided by Kendall and Precious Coleman was exceptional. Their professionalism and care made a difficult time significantly more bearable. The customer service was outstanding throughout the entire process. The staff was attentive, empathetic, and supportive, ensuring that every detail was tailored to our wishes. Their genuine compassion made a world of difference during such a trying time. The entire process was smooth and seamless. Every detail was handled efficiently, and we were kept informed at each stage. Any concerns we had were addressed promptly, reflecting the team's dedication to making the process as smooth and respectful as possible for grieving families. The floral arrangements were simply breathtaking. Crafted with elegance and meticulous attention to detail, they perfectly captured the beauty and grace of our loved one. I even ordered an additional arrangement at the last minute, and Precious Coleman ensured it was arranged and delivered from Houston without a hitch. The freshness and variety of the blooms exceeded our expectations and added a serene touch to the ceremony. Additionally, the Crowning Ceremony, which was unfamiliar to me, was conducted with profound respect and reverence. The staff ensured that every aspect of the ceremony, from the procession to the final farewell, was carried out with dignity and care. Their commitment to honoring our loved one's memory was evident in every moment. In summary, Coleman's Family Mortuary provided an exceptional experience during a difficult time. NOT ONE instruction I requested was followed...from my mother's presentation, to the viewing, to the music at the graveside service. 1. I provided a photo of how she wore her hair combed and close to her head in layers and specifically said she did not tease it and fluff it out. They teased it and fluffed it out and gave her helmet hair. 2. I asked that only the immediate family be allowed into the viewing and the coffin stay closed until we had our time with my mother. When we arrived the viewing room had people in it and the coffin was open. A few people commented on her hair. 3. None of the music I provided was played at the graveside. Instead different tracks were played including one that my mom hated - which I had commented on in the arrangements meeting. It's unbelievable how bad their service was...almost like they deliberately sabotaged her funeral. They seem like the only funeral home in that area so if you are forced to use them I would micromanage make sure they can actually do what they are hired to do. This experience is going to matter. It's is going to stay with you. If you can go anywhere else, you should.

After that, you must stop and pay your respects at the grave of Mildred "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias. With more championships than I can list here, I'll just go with these two: - In 2008, ESPN ranked her the 10th Greatest North American Athlete of the century, the highest-ranked woman on their list. - She won two gold medals and one silver in track and field at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, setting four world records and becoming the only athlete in history (male or female) to win individual Olympic medals in running, throwing, and jumping events. Keep in mind that this is an active cemetery so please be respectful of those who may be mourning a loss. [Review 346 of 2026 - 672 in Texas - 25533 overall]

Since then we have lain to rest her husband, Eugene Stratton Paxton, my grandfather, as well as great grandparents, step grandparents and an uncle. In 2018, we laid my stepfather to rest, but we used Broussard's for mortuary services. My mom handled these arrangements with my assistance. She was very impressed with the way Forest Lawn helped her through the selection and purchase of a double plot. She chose to pre-pay for her final arrangements and got a nice discount. Mom finally passed this past September and it was left to me to get it all set up and organized. I could not have done that without the exceptional assistance and guidance I received from Laci McClendon, one of the funeral directors. I would like to highly recommend her to anyone that reads this review. She was only a text message away, even on weekends and late nights. Everyone should be so lucky to have her at their side when going through the emotional distress that often accompanies the loss of loved ones.
