Looking at the reviews, there seems to be significantly more people who adore this place than dislike it. Reading some of the two to one star reviews, I think some of them have merit though others are just upset due to their own poor planning and choices. This is not an innovative steakhouse. There isn't anything on the menu that is blowing the minds off the culinary world. Yes, they love to parade how aged and premium their steaks are, but a number of steakhouses I have been to are very similar (so long as it's not a Texas Roadhouse or any sort of chain restaurant.) Yes, it is expensive. You can see the menu online. If they offer you a special or say key words like "wagyu" or "Kobe," expect that steak to be $100+. Yes, they should let you know the price, but you can always ask, "Hey, how much is XYZ special?" Our group of four had two of the Dinner for Two specials which came with a salad each, a 6 oz filet and choice of sauce and butter, two full sides, and a dessert to share for $115. We also ordered two shrimp cocktails and enough alcohol to drown a pirate ship. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The service was very good with the right amount of attentiveness. Our water glasses were always full and alcoholic drinks were kept coming. The sides advertise themselves to be for two people, but as a fat man, a side could easily swing 3 people (at least the ones we got). We got the broccoli (one of our eaters insisted on a healthier side), fully loaded mashers, lobster pasta, and the bourbon creamed corn. We also got the wedge salad, which was fine, but I would have preferred a classic wedge. The peanut butter cake we had for dessert was great. For the price of the dessert á la carte, the dessert should've fed two, but as a big guy, I could've polished that off easily myself. The steak was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. Very tender. Very flavorful. I did not find it over seasoned at all as some reviewers suggested. It is expensive. There is no doubt. We went here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and there were two other couples there for the same. I am sure there were even more! This place is amazing! First tip is MAKE A RESERVATION. We made the mistake of just waking in and the wait was 2.5hrs so we had to cancel plans that night and try again the next weekend. We got the fried scallops appetizer. Anything with scallops is a must for me so this was a winner! Fortunately and unfortunately, they change their appetizers up so if you like one one visit, it might not be there the next. My husband got the wedge. He said it was delicious but small for the price. I got the flip flop salad and it was very tasty. Very different. We then shared a cowboy ribeye, mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. We definitely had left overs but I would order all this over again. Dined here with the husband this past Saturday - our first visit. A bit spendy but all of the food was delicious. We opted for the dinner for 2 and both upgraded to a 12 oz vs a 6 oz filet - both cooked perfectly medium rare. I upgraded to the lobster bisque while the husband had the garden salad - both of us enjoyed our choice. We had the red skinned mashed potatoes and the steamed broccoli as our chosen sides. If there is a downside to the menu I would say that the side choices are heavily carb loaded and suggest adding more vegetable (non potato) choices other than the steamed broccoli and creamed corn choices. The shared dessert was taken home and eaten the following day - we picked the chocolate cake w/the 2 mousse layers. It was delicious. I had a cocktail .. the Tickle Me Pink .. delightful! Ordered breaded scallops and cauliflower as appetizers. The scallops were huge, but not very hot. The breaded cauliflower tasted like cauliflower, go figure. Had a house salad that was very good. Entree was a bone in rib eye. Asked for medium, they hit the nail on the head. However, it was not overly hot and the grilled mushrooms and onions were weak and mushy. The steak was okay, but not outstanding. Had 3 sides. Creamed corn was great (and hot!). We also had the mac & cheese and brussel sprouts. Neither was very warm, though the mac & cheese was outstanding. Sprouts were not. Not nearly charred enough. Had 2 glasses of cab which were reasonably prices and very good. Got out after an hour and 45 minutes (no desert). I wasn't in a hurry, but even the wife started to complain about it taking so long. I started with an old fashioned- tasted great but I'm always let down when restaurants don't use a larger ice mold for a drink that needs it. I shared the 2 for 100$ deal with a friend- 5 stars all around. The house salad was delicious, as sides we ordered the Mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes- HUGE portions and they were TO DIE FOR. My steak was perfectly cooked. But by far the best part of the meal was my husbands dish, as someone who can't eat red meat- it's hard to find a white meat or fish substitute that is high quality, however the pork chop !!! This spot is all about the ambiance as you are sitting in an old German style barn that was originally built in 1851. They don't build barns like this anymore!!! Our parties steaks were all perfectly prepared per our individual preference and the sides were big enough to share with three to four people. Standards and quality of service have taken a real nose dive. I've eaten at Strip at least a dozen times over the years. Service was never the best in town, but the food kept me coming back...until now. This trip, food was mediocre at best, it arrived COLD, and greatly lacking seasoning. Our waiter was infuriatingly slow, inattentive, and forgot things. Frustrating night all around. My steak arrived underseasoned and luke warm, without the sauce I ordered. It had been severely overcharred on bottom and hardly cooked on top before being rested. The overcharred side left the steak bitter and unenjoyable, I didn't even finish a small filet. My wife's filet and scallops were worse, they arrived ice cold, they only thing warm was the plate itself, completely cold food. Instead of refiring a new steak and scallops they chose to heat it up then bring it back to the table to ask if it "was hot enough". The slow and inattentive service does not match the price point, and neither does the quality of food. Take your hard earned money somewhere that appreciates it's customers. As a large party, we ordered multiple shareable side dishes - the redskin garlic smashed potatoes were , the gruyere Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious and the house pierogie a were great as well. I ordered a filet - cooked to my liking but a little bit dry on top. It was still good but I was a little bummed about the dryness. But that doesn't stop me from giving this place 5 stars. I will never go back. My girlfriend and I went to Strip for Happy Hour and had nothing short of a terrible experience - literally, this place is a joke. The bar was full so we grabbed a high top table, literally five feet from the bar. No worries. A server gave us the HH menu but said that we could not order any food off of it because we weren't at the bar. Fine. We order two martinis for $6 a piece; the drinks come and are good. Great! I ask for a "normal" menu and was instructed that we were "not allowed to order food at our table." Literally, in a restaurant, at a table, and we are not allowed to order food? What. Is. Happening. We finish our drinks and two seats open up at the bar. Praise Jesus, we are able to see a menu and *gasp* order food...at a restaurant. Our server then disappears so we track down a different server (maybe he would have allowed us to see a menu?) who gave us our check - which was $34. My girlfriend then asked the hostess about the difference in price and was subsequently yelled at that it was the bar's issue and not her's. Yup, we're done here - time to go. So for a total of $22, this joke of a "restaurant" (again, we couldn't even *see* a menu, much less order) lost two customers for life. Great job. P.S.: For the restaurant: A best practice, as a restaurant, is to serve, you know, food. read more

This is my favorite steakhouse around & every time I have recommended Strip to friends/family, they've said the same! All of the steaks come with a complementary compound butter or sauce, the waiter will have a good recommendation based on the steak you order. My favorite steak is the Boilermaker (cooked medium) with Apple Honey Bacon compound butter - it never disappoints. All of the sides are separate, the house pierogis & lobster pasta are our "go-to" selections. If they have the daily side special of lobster mac & cheese, GET IT! It's amazing. Lastly, the staff at Strip Steakhouse is outstanding. Each waiter I've ever had here has been great; so polite, personable & attentive. Each visit a manager came by to check on the table during our meal to make sure all has gone well so far. Make sure to make reservations beforehand & do so at least a week ahead (if possible)to ensure you can get the desired time. We always have a great experience anytime we dine at Strip Steakhouse. read more

Ignore any other review on here that isn't a 5. This was hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. The scallops and pork belly apps were amazing. The pork belly was atop this celery root puree that alone I would've scooped down like mash potatoes or ice cream. The free pretzel bread then comes with is amazing set of butters. The mustard butter being my favorite. And then finally the steaks. They had an Australian wagyu strip as a special, and it was just one of the most perfect steaks I've ever had. I strongly recommend the truffle compound butter. It is on another level. I was able to see infinity, speak other languages, it was so good. Also the service was excellent. The building is great! We had a party of 15 and a single server took care of all of us, which was impressive. I actually wasn't that impressed by my steak. Perhaps it was because I just got a standard filet. Perhaps it was because it was cool by the time I ate it, but it didn't seem to be anything special. I did enjoy the bourbon creamed corn. I got the trilogy & it was cooked a perfect medium rare. My girlfriend got the filet & another perfect medium rare. Now that we live in Boston, it's sometimes a challenge to get a seat here due to popularity- for anyone reading this from Boston, what you need to understand is this restaurant isn't in downtown Cleveland, it's a growing area that not that long ago, used to be farm land. Their menu is fantastic, diverse and always well executed. I think it says something that I rarely get seafood when I'm home in Boston and the appetizer I most wanted was their scallops. For my entree I got the NY Strip, Med-Rare. Pierogies and baked for the sides. Their daily specials menu read like something you'd find some place exotic. It really felt like we were in the most upscale barn in the country having dinner. I started with Lobster Bisque. The cream, butter, and spirits mixed together to create a rich flavor. Easily one of the best tasting Lobster Bisque I've had anywhere. Every single spoonful had chunks of lobster on it. I highly recommend. For dinner I ordered the Tomahawk Wagyu Ribeye. 32 oz of pure deliciousness. I added a Lobster tail for good measure. I didn't want to go hungry. I added an herb compound butter that arrived on the side. House made chips came with the dinner. Served on a wooden cutting board the presentation is about as Fred Flintstone as it gets. What really shines here is the steak. Perfectly seasoned and seared on the outside. It was crispy and reminded be of bark. Nice and crunchy. The interior was a perfect Medium Rare. The compound butter created a rich umami experience. So good I ate the whole thing. The Lobster Tail didn't disappoint either. Meaty, tender, and was simply delicious. The other guests I went with had a melted herb butter with their seafood dinners I tried. I highly recommend getting that to go with the Lobster. It is fantastic. Okay - so I am a steak snob, and this place had the BEST steak I have ever had! I ordered the special, which was a Wagyu tomahawk steak. Upon Malorie/Mallory's (our waitress) recommendation I got it seated in a cast-iron skillet, and there was also some type of lemon and salt rub on it as well. You get to choose a sauce or a butter to complement the steak and I went with the garlic butter, which was the best choice ever! The flavor it bought to the steak was out of this world. My steak was ordered medium-rare and cooked just so. Other than he food being absolutely delicious, the staff was just amazing.
