The support, professionalism, and diplomacy of the Insight Global representatives during a difficult situation was invaluable. However, my gamble to "try something new" proved to be a success. The culture of Insight Global is very pleasant; the staff is friendly and they seem to genuinely care about not only their contractors but their clients as well. The contractor benefits are the same provided to actual Insight Global employees and the pay is very competitive. Assuming I continue contract type work, I will definitely make Insight Global my preferred staffing firm. Cons: No paid time off accrual and an initial wait for benefits. Both of which seem standard for those doing contract type work.

I went to Pro Staff for a part time weekend job that I could do in addition to my school schedule…read more I noticed upon walking in the office, it was really clean and inviting, but I was kind of taken a back when I could hear the lounge radio very loudly blasting "Oochie Wally." (google that song if you don't know what it is, lol) I applied for a job I was totally qualified for and that would've allowed me to use my degree, so I felt it was a Win-Win. I passed all of the test associated with this position and was eager to hear back for my first assignment. A couple weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything, so I placed a phone call asking about the position. I was told it would be a couple more weeks until the employer was ready. After that, couple more weeks went by, then months. It was so long, that I totally forgot about the position I had applied for. I just felt it was very unprofessional to not keep your patrons updated, especially when I was told that would be the case. I came in the door fully qualified and ready to fulfill the goals of this position. I just hope they don't continue to leave qualified applicants on the fence in the future.

I didn't end up taking the position I interviewed for and offered because I decided it wasn't worth leaving my baby for the going wages right now, since it would barely be enough to pay for childcare; but, I really appreciate how Kim made me feel that when I was ready to work that she would be there for me every step of the way. She was honest, upfront, and really supportive during my job search.
