    French Onion Soup

THE best Stromboli maybe ever - so good. Love the lightly crusty outer dough with some light spice & cheese, and the overall flavor is fantastic! The Italian sub was good, but not as yummy as the boli, but they slice all their own meats! The fries were very good and the side of chili garlic sauce, suggested by the bartender, was so tasty! I could eat it with a spoon! The French Onion soup was also good, and I'm picky. The service was great (sat at the bar), and the music & atmosphere was fun but not too crazy. Nice hometown bar.

Found this place on yelp while on a 6 day motorcycle trip with my son. Cool little local bar with amazing food. HUGE portions! I got the "small" chicken parm sandwich and my son got the "small" Italian hoagie! We could barely breathe after eating these huge sandwiches! Server was great and very attentive. Wish this place was closer to where we live.

We just moved to Lancaster from CT and we saw the great reviews on Stubbys and figured we'd give it a shot. I can't say one bad thing about this place. The patrons are a great cross section from every walk of life. The staff is fast on their feet, so nice and I ask for another beer I have it in like 2 minutes on a busy Friday night. They cover each others tables and the service is always with a smile. The food, holy cow, for a bar & grille, 5 stars! I had garlic wings and the wings were huge and meaty and the garlic not overwhelming. Wife had a Cheese steak sandwich that was yummy too. Chicken Caesar was on point. Even the music was great and not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Got to meet the owner Claude, great guy and a great place. We will be back FOR SURE!!!

Had dinner at Stubby's in Lancaster with my partner this week. We sat in the outdoor courtyard in the back - ask for it! It was a great experience. The food was really good and the prices were more than reasonable. Our server was attentive and friendly. There is a big 70" TV and string lights hanging up too. Seemed like a great place to watch an Eagles game. We will be back!

We stopped in with our dog so we dined on a sidewalk table. We had the Texas burger & Stromboli. Both were delicious, service was great!

Stopped in to Mad Chef unexpectedly while traveling through Lancaster…read more My wife and I were hungry and tired from traveling through Pennsylvania. Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. Very different from any coleslaw I've ever had before. Not saying it wasn't good. Just wasn't my thing. The sandwich was good. My son ordered a huge sandwich (can't remember what it was called) and it has coleslaw and fries inside. I snatched a fry and they were so good! Three people, three sandwiches and under $40. Good deal! Especially when two of those sandwiches could have served other people. They were huge.

We ordered the New Yorker sandwich this time (had the Don last time). It was good but not great. The spicy mustard was unevenly applied so was missing on my half and was badly needed. The Don sandwich last week had meat spread throughout and the fries in the sandwich were crunchy and not limp like today's sandwich. We also had naked BBQ wings that were good, but again, not as good as we had last week. The wings were bigger, meatier and better sauced last time. Apparently didn't take pics last weekend for comparison, but it was noticeably better then so would suspect that cooking is uneven. Last week was a 5, today was just a 3, so I averaged.

Telus360 - Lancaster, PA (Food Hall Kitchen)…read more I made the trip out to Telus360 to catch my friend Henry's open mic night. He's always bouncing around doing something creative, and I've been trying to get out of the house a little more, so a Monday night in Lancaster felt like a good excuse. If you've never been, Telus360 has a really cool atmosphere. It's almost like a compound with multiple bars, rooms, and events happening all at once. I could definitely see myself coming back just for the vibe. As for the food, there's a kitchen upstairs serving an Asian-American fusion style menu. I can't remember the name of the kitchen, but they had everything from Asian-inspired dishes to hot chicken sandwiches and other bar food. I kept it simple and ordered the hot chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was excellent. It was well put together, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The fries were solid too. Nothing overcomplicated--just good comfort food done well. What really stood out, though, was the service. The ordering process is casual--you order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up your food when it's ready--so it's not traditional table service. But during my brief interaction with the guy working the counter, I genuinely felt welcomed. I made a point to chat with him for a minute, and he seemed to sincerely appreciate it. Maybe he was the owner, maybe not, but there was a warmth there that stuck with me. That kind of interaction matters. Good food gets you in the door, but genuine hospitality is what makes me want to come back. I'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere, good food, and even better people.
