I wanted to tell them to soak it all in; it goes by fast. Yes, it's the best chocolate in the world, but it also holds a special place in all of our hearts. I remember the owner back then and how she made this place special; she was and still is the sweetest. I think of her fondly as the chocolatier. Each one is unique, and packed full of buttery, delicious flavor to make your taste buds pop. Let's break them down: Salted Pistachio Brittle: At first this one surprised me. I love pistachios, but the unique flavors that Jones Toffee packed into these confectionary delights really shocked me. Upon inspection I wasn't too surprised. The secret is in the spicy kick at the end thanks to the added pepper. This makes for a unique treat that blends sweet and spicy together extremely well. Maple Bourbon Pecan: This toffee is easily the sweetest of the bunch. With a rich maple flavor you feel like you are walking through the Vermont syrup fields. Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but this stuff is no joke. Large chunks of pecan, and maple flavor blend together to create a mouth watering treat that makes you crave more. Toasted Coconut Rum: In terms of awesome toffee ideas this one tops the list. With a thin white layer of delicious crisp coconut flakes, this toffee snaps really easily on the teeth, and goes down easy. Less sweet than the Maple Bourbon Pecan, but more sweet than the Traditional, this one provides a unique toffee experience, and I love it. Traditional Jones Toffee: This is it, chocolate, toffee, delicious. What else can you want in your fresh made candy? The chocolate they use is far from tasting like cheap Hershey's bars. In fact, it's some of the best chocolate flavor I have ever had in a toffee (Although Brandini certainly gives them a run for their money). The toffee is chewy and buttery, and provides a delectable flavor that ought to make other toffee makers jealous. I love this stuff. It's really everything you could ask for in toffee. I would highly suggest this to anyone looking for something better than just candy.
