Breakfast here is delicious and affordable. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Their daily specials are awesome.

We haven't been here since Studebaker's took over, we'll we were missing out, honestly didn't know they had taken over this restaurant location. Breakfast or brunch it's fantastic. I love the reuben omelette! I think it's perfect for brunch. Richelle got standard breakfast stuff, egg, potatoes, meat all very good.

Who knew there would be more than one Studabaker's. Mom did! When you recognize a Bill Knapp's restaurant, you've come to the right place. Everything was on point. They are known for their chicken so I had to get a piece for breakfast. If you never had a piece, at least get one to try it. The facade and interior are vastly different than the one in Nee Carlisle, but the hospitality and food remains the same.

Front room dining area.

Great down home food! We had breakfast and everything was good and hot . Small town country vibe. Many options and excellent prices. Our waitress could have been a little better but she was young. Would highly recommend.

My biggest reason I go to Studebakers is my friend Debbie works there. I go there to support the business that my friend works at. I first met Debbie at Golden Corall in Springfield When she moved on to Mr Bons I ate there. When she went to Colliers I followed her there. When Studebaker's took over the old Colliers I went there because they hired Debbie. I live in San Diego now and visiting having a meal where Debbie's is now an old roadtrip tradition. I went to Studebakers for my first dinner in Springfield with my brother David and his family on my brother's suggestion. I had the ham and beans with red potatoes and cornbread. Not bad, nothing extraordinary. I improved it with salt pepper and Tabasco. If I had any sense I would have asked for some onions for both beans and potatoes. I felt the amount of potatoes was quite SMALL compared to the beans. I also got about the smallest serving of blackberry cooler you ever saw in your life thrown on an equally small dish. It tasted good, just not much there to taste. Brandi was our waitress. She was a sweet young girl. Very nice and attentive. Her friendliness and her smile added to the ambiance. Now that's something new. In past reviews I've wrote just writing A-m-b-i-a-n-c-e would turn the word green. We were seated in a room in the back that had tables large enough to accommodate larger groups. It was nicely decorated. It would be a good room for a birthday party or other special occasion.

Very solid diner in the former Bill Knapps location above the mall. The restaurant is very spacious, clean, and well lit. Service is friendly and down home. Today I enjoyed the Grandpa's Breakfast platter. All of the food was prepared perfectly and served hot. I look forward to returning to try their other offerings!

After waiting for 10 minutes after being seated, no waitress came to our table. Walked out.

Tried to send this to Red Lobster but it would not let me send it…read more rel6252262@yahoo.com Took my wife to Red Lobster, 1898 W. First, Springfield, OH, today, 4/7/3026, just because. Clean restrooms, slow business and very nice staff. Waitress, Lynn (spelling) was very nice and on point. Brought our biscuits, took our drink order, brought us our drinks and took our order! Ordered an appetizer, crab queso, and I ordered the Ultimate feast and wife ordered surf and turf (medium on steak). 10 minutes later waitress tells us that they are out of tortilla chips and wondered if we wanted anything else, no we didn't. How does a restaurant run out of tortilla chips (damn it chest and have someone run to Gordon's). That was the start of all the failures! Meals came out, steak was rare, waitress took it back, then we found the rest. The lobster (both of ours) was not thoroughly cooked, potatoes were not even warm enough to melt the butter, my crab legs were barely warm to the touch. Drinks were good! Couldn't talk to manager because he was on a conference call! So waitress comped everything and we left! Would not recommend this place to anybody! Do not believe we will return for long time.

Service was great, building a little dated, but clean & comfortable. Recommend stopping in & getting a good meal.

If Applebee's is in the midst of a turnaround, this restaurant hasn't gotten the memo…read more On a Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't packed; we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. A lot of open tables, guessing it's a staffing issue. I feel like Applebee's is trying with the menu improvements and drink improvements. Still, the location could prob use some management improvements and a kitchen staff training program, bc a Triple App and a chicken salad shouldn't take over 45 minutes to make when dining in. We also heard the phone ring off the hook, and a few times it went unanswered. The bartender seemed to be the only one knowledgeable and working. Our server kept telling us the food would be right out for 45 minutes.... Three different t times. Yikes. Once our food came out, it was tbh a little subpar, the chicken salad was lettuce-heavy & chicken-light. The Trio App was decent, but the boneless wings lacked sauce. I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I have to in the hope that someone at Applebee's sees this and tries to reach out to correct these issues before a small town loses another restaurant bc of bad management.

This will definitely be the last time I give Applebee's a chance to redeem itself. 4 adults, 1 four…read moreyear old, all of us hungry and ready to enjoy our meal. Of course we enjoyed absolutely none of it. I ordered an 8oz bourbon steak with mash potatoes. The steak was the worse piece of meat I can recall ever! I had to try to cut into a piece and the steak knife wouldn't even but it. I had to discreetly spit bites into a paper napkin. 20 dollars for a very low grade quality steak. My grandson loved ribs so, on the kids meal this cost $18.99. That itself is unreasonable. 3 very burnt ribs that were also inedible unless you scraped the burnt chips attached and that left very little meat. My son in law had shrimp & chicken and it came smothered with onions and mushrooms! This was gross and neither of us saw it pictured that way. Mine also had loads of mushrooms & onions. I only saw Mushrooms and ask they be removed. Fortunately, I like onions but under my steak was a bucket full and it seemed like overkill. No, I decided to I wasn't going to complain. It would serve no purpose. They're still going to buy cheap meat. They're not going to give a care with my opinions and it's definitely not willing to change the lack of quality on our plates! They should realize that already. There was no wait of patrons but we still waited more than an hour after ordering to bring out our meals.(This is a Saturday at 7pm), It would've been great if our waitress would've checked in to let us know. Sorry this is 100% negative but there are so many failing restaurants in my area and few choices (majority restaurants here are Mexican cuisine). I really hope someone describes a good experience after this, prove me wrong, please!
