It's a fabulous little intimate venue and if you ever get a chance to see a decent production here then its worth going. I am not sure if business is as usual at the moment because it is under going a £22.5 million building re-design. The new buildings are due to open in the Spring of 2011 but the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is Wales' leading music and drama conservatoire and this new addition to the College's professional training and performance facilities comprises The Richard Burton Theatre. It was recently named at a gala evening at Buckingham Palace, along with the 450-seat Concert Hall, four Acting & Movement Studios and an Exhibition Gallery. So it held in high regard.

This is a good University for those who are clever enough and for those who work hard enough to meet the Universities requirements. I suppose it's like this with most Universities, if not all, but this University in my view is the Welsh and Cardiff equivalent University standard to Oxford University. However, Cardiff University has many courses for you to choose from. I have heard that the teaching seems to be brilliant in the areas in helping you develop your career and that the support they give you is really good as well. If I did have the level of intelligence and the qualifications to match this University's certain requirements I most properly would have chosen to study the Journalism degree there. They also have poetry evenings and other activities going on here and there during the evenings on certain sites within the University. I met and heard the poet Gwyneth Lewis read her poetry once. I recommend it to all of those interested in studying there and to any friends of those who are studying there as a great place to visit and or to study.

I studied for my undergraduate degree at Cardiff University 5 years ago and it was a brilliant time…read moreof my life. I thoroughly enjoyed being a student and being a student in cardiff made it all the more special. Aside from the usual student 'activities' the actual studying part was also great. Cardiff is a brilliant university. My course was well organised, lectures were well thought out and interesting, staff were always on hand to help. The facilities at Cardiff are also top rate. There are so many computer rooms, labs, libraries. Some are open 24 hours too. The social facilities are also exceptional with a larger than average student union containing bars, club, and shops. Brilliant! Since leaving university I have gone on to do 2 more courses. My second was at a different university and compared to Cardiff it was not even close. I am currently doing a post grad qualification and I've picked Cardiff again. As a part time mature student it is just as outstanding. Support from staff is second to none. I highly recommend studying here.

Yea, don't come here…read more As a graduate that studied in both the Ponty and Cardiff area of Glamorgans uni's I can safely say I wished it stayed at Pontypridd. You can't help but be made to feel that this building was built for business reasons and not for the students welfare. There was a lot of back slapping when the Atrium was first opened and a lot of hiding disgruntled students out of the press's way. The building was just over half built when it opened and was a building site. Nothing was ready and equipment was sparse, my heart bled for people studying in their third year. Talking of equipment, there is a scarce amount for 1000's of media students all needing the 20 or so cameras available, add a shambolic ordering system that doesn't work that will charge an extortionate amount to students if they are but mere minutes late and you've got yourself a lot of unhappy people trapped within this educational house. The cafe is overly expensive and is far more of an upmarket cafe that does not adhere to the tight budgets student are on. However the staff are always lovely here. More than can be said for the reception. I can't remember the guys name as I would shame him here right now, but he is the most unhelpful, obnoxious man that has ever been hired. I've seen him be so rude to kids who are just trying to hand there work in I'm surprised he still works there, shameful. And that incompetence seems to run throughout the staff employed here. I had a lot of problems within the second year and was treated disgustingly. What was worse is that I could not go to anyone to help me as there was no governing body to go to outside of the uni, it all felt that they did what was best for them, not you. There are however some great teachers here and learnt a lot out of those few. However I can't help but feel it was alot down to my determination that I got the results I wanted out of here, not them in the slightest. Oh and there is going to be no union as of next year, not the uni experience you would hope for then. Seriously, if you are looking to visit here please speak to students who reside here already before you make your decision. I am a disgruntled ex student yes, but I can honestly say there are a majority of students there that feel the same but do not have a way to express them. Seek elsewhere for further education.

As a local musician, I'm always on the lookout for new places to play or record, and for fresh…read morepeople to get in contact with to see what comes out of a new collaboration and when The Atrium opened its doors properly, I danced a small jig. Being the Glamorgan teaching centre for anything media related, there is an entire section dedicated to sound recording with four floors of recording studios kitted out with a huge amount of brand new, high-powered equipment. Having recorded in there numerous times for a variety of different projects, I know that the quality of the end recording relies mostly on the skill of the students and the quality has, except for one glaring exception, been fantastic. Aside from this, the building is a beautiful addition to a city skyline that is rapidly becoming far more interesting than it previously was. With the wonderful, idiosyncratic camera-shaped conservatory building greeting traffic heading from the Bay, it makes a nice introduction to the city centre.

For undergraduates, the BSc in Architectural Studies is a three-year undergraduate degree that provides a thorough grounding in architectural design - and satisfies Part 1 of UK professional qualification for architects [validated jointly by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)]. As long as students get a suitable Honours standard in the BSc, this leads to the further MArch (Master of Architecture) postgraduate scheme - and eventually qualification for the profession of architecture. It's a demanding course and students often have to work long hours to complete projects to deadline. Of the many students I met during my time at university, all following various degree courses, the architects were amongst the most highly motivated and ambitious of all - and they needed to be, given the demanding nature of the course.

When I did I have discovered that I am Dyslexic and during my free lessons I when to the Dyslexia Institute which is just around the corner from there. As a private school goes this place is pretty good, not excellent, but good. I had a huge amount of support and care that came individually, first from the head teacher of this school and then secondly from nearly every teacher that I had teach me. And they all new mine name and everyone else's, as did the head teacher. This school is a Nursery; a primary school, secondary school and you can do your A Levels here if you are clever enough, (so to speak) where as I could not. In the end I only achieved a C in Information Computer Technology, which I was lucky to get at all. They have smart expensive school uniform; which you have to pay for and you also have to pay a large sum of money every so often. They do a lot of sport at Kings Monkton which is a school that reminds me of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter, fantasy novel series. They had a small library when I was there and the type of wood that surrounded it reminds me of Hogwarts, as does one part of the school which has a deep; oak, brown wood which made me think and dream that I was walking down the castle corridors. Overall I do recommend it as a great school to attend, if your clever than me academically you will get on fine there particularly. It also has a new, more moderner complex, which is really posh. I had private singing lessons there and you can also have private music lessons, during spare class time; which is costly pricey too, but worth it.

You can find it opposite the Dow Corning's factory on the Cardiff Road. There are plenty of parking spaces and the Centre is also near bus stops and only a 10 minute walk from Cadoxton Station. There is disabled access with ramps and a stairlift, and a free crèche which is supervised by professional staff.. The times of opening are: Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.00pm Tues & Thurs 6.30pm 9.00pm

It is like a youngster's agency for any form of education, or any form of employment of work. They sign you up to get money from them; have your own personal adviser, to go to sessions once or twice a week with them at their centre and they take you around places to have a look at where you get a job or to train up and gain qualifications so that you then could get one. It is situated within Cardiff's city centre on Charles Street. A Street that is based in-between Marks and Spencer's and Burger King on Queen Street and at the other end of that street there is the cinema, known as Cineworld. It is not really a place to visit touristy wise, but I thought I would review it if you're travelling whilst you're unemployed at the ages mentioned. Or if you have come to live in Cardiff and are in need of help of a job within these area of ages then I recommend this place only to you. I found them very helpful and I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't partly for them. That is I graduated from University from studying a Creative Writing degree, before that I got into Coleg Glan Hafren College in Cardiff studying a Media and Film course, thanks to the help from Youth Gate Way.
