My skin was dry, lacked volume, moisture, etc. I made an appointment to get a hydrafacial with Kristen and immediately fell in love. The spa is gorgeous. It has a nice warm feel to it as you walk in. Everyone is super nice and friendly. Kristen is literally beautiful inside and out. She makes sure you are comfortable and ensures you have the most amazing spa experience. The table is soooooo comfortable and warm. The room is so peaceful and relaxing. Not only did I leave there super relaxed, but my skin was glowing! Kristen doesn't try to push anything on you. She's honest and that is the most amazing feeling in the world! Kristen followed up that evening by checking on me. I mean, talk about great customer service! Needless to say, I went back for my second appointment and she was just as wonderful. In less than a month's time, my skin did a total 180. My skin is flowing and feels so smooth. Definitely has some more work to do but I'm confident my skin will look it's absolute best with Kristen's help! I am definitely going to be a regular at the Montville Medspa. Unfortunately, my experience has changed significantly. I was first contacted about a $5 charge for a treatment box that no one had informed me needed to be returned. Had I been told there was a return policy, I would have gladly brought it back. Instead, I felt like I was being blamed for something that was never explained. I also experienced confusion regarding my prepaid weight-loss injections. Before picking up my injection, I confirmed with Amy that I was receiving my last prepaid dose and that I would need to pay only if I decided to continue the following week. However, when I arrived, the front desk insisted that I needed to pay again. Even after I explained that I had already prepaid and that this had been confirmed, I continued to be questioned. As a loyal customer, I found this frustrating and unnecessary. The final disappointment came when the owner called me and said the front desk staff felt uncomfortable with what I had said. I explained that I was the one who felt uncomfortable because I had repeatedly been put in situations where I had to defend myself over issues involving communication and payments. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, I was told that my remaining laser session would simply be refunded. The issue has never been about $5 or paying for services. I have always paid for my treatments. The issue is the lack of communication, inconsistent information, and the way I was treated as a long-term customer. I expected a luxury med spa to provide professionalism, respect, and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have not reflected those standards.

I've had a few chemical peels in the past so I'm not a novice at dermal treatments and am pretty sure about what I want done. Found: Melanie at Forever Young. She was the first person at a medical office/spa to spend almost an hour explaining different kinds of peels, their effects and researching various brand name peels and chemicals with me BEFORE the treatment even began. I was impressed by how much she knew and how thorough she was in evaluating my skin and situation (I'm bfing my baby). Results: first she microdermabraisioned off the dry dead layer of skin from my face, then she applied a peel that tingled a bit at first. After the neutralizer was applied, I left the office a bit flushed-looking. I wasnt given any pamphlets on what to do that night or what to expect but we already talked about it on the office. My husband told me I looked like a glowing angel that evening (score!) and over the next couple of days - some skin did slough off but I didn't get a full topical peel which Melanie said wasn't always necessary because some peels are hydrating. 2 weeks later: my face is in better condition, less dryness and dullness. I'm used to a more topical peel and havent got the full results from my first treatment because I couldnt go more aggressive with the chemicals while breastfeeding but I definitely will be going back for another peel soon.

The receptionist was nice and friendly however I did notice she was calling a lot of clients to cancel their appointments and then reschedule them. The interior of the place is nicely decorated with chic decor and chill music playing. I notice some of the other staff weren't as friendly or welcoming towards me which is disappointing as a new client. When I finally met with the dermatologist and her assistant, they definitely rushed through the consultation and didn't spend enough adequate time to truly listen to my concerns. I suspect they were in a rush since she they were dealing with another patient in another room. I wish they could have really listened to my concerns and made me feel more seen as a patient. I did get some skincare samples which was alright. Overall, it's not worth going to Vital Aesthetics especially if you have any dermatological concerns. I will DEFINITELY look for a new dermatology office and won't be coming back to this place since my experience with them was lackluster, frustrating and unimpressive.
