So glad we found this place…read more We have been traveling for almost 2 weeks and had done a lot of walking and my friend and I were in great need of massages. I hurt everywhere-I think carrying my big camera was hurting my back. Anyway, I got on Yelp and also online to find a spa or massage place nearby. (Hint-do not google just massage places in Barcelona-you will get places that are not the reputable type places, ew. Make sure you put Spa!). We thought about going to the Hotel W but they were across town and really pricy. We asked our concierge at our hotel (Royal Ramblas) and they suggest Rambla 130 and it was directly across the street! We simply walked over there to make our appointment. It wasn't so easy to find, not a lot of signage, but we had the right address and someone in the building told us it was on the 3rd floor. The nice girl that spoke some english made our reservations and fit us in that afternoon. We were thrilled. They have all kinds of services, several massages incuding reflexology to choose from and also they do facials, manicures, pedicures. The don't have the hot tubs and saunas and that whole experience that full blown spas have (at least I don't think so, I did note someone showering there) but their massage services were really good and we didn't have all day anyway. I was really wanting a deep tissue massage (they called that an "osteo" massage) and my friend wanted a softer massage. The prices were great-the osteo was $60 an hour and a regular massage was $50. The W Hotel was way pricier than that, about 3 times as much. To my disappointment they got us mixed up (I think there was a lack of communication) and I got the softer massage. But maybe it all worked out because my friend ended up needing some more intensity and my person, her name was Ava, did such a great job with me. She did an all over massage, versus just focusing on the hurting areas, so I think we both ended up getting what we needed. I would give Ava 5 stars. My friend had a guy give her massage and I know she was really happy with him too. I wish we had time to try their different services. A pedicure or facial looked so enticing but we were short on time. Loved the atmosphere of the place, modern and calming. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.

After 5 weeks of travelling, tons of walking and no pilates classes, my back was starting to ache…read more Yoga Studio Barcelona was the closest to our Airbnb so I booked in. The instructor was great and the style of yoga being instructed was enjoyable, had a great flow and was very soothing as it stretched out my limbs. A couple of negatives to my experience was that the website said first timers only get charged 7 Euro, but when I mentioned this at reception the staff member told me I was incorrect and that it's 14 Euro. I didn't dispute it. The other was that the yoga studio had no air-conditioning and it was the middle of summer! Is it natural style bikram?! Perhaps air-conditioning is not that common in Barcelona, but I struggled in the class's heat as an Australian who is used to warm weather. A tip on finding the business: It's in an office style looking building from the outside, and you have to walk up a few flights of stairs.

Couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention that I received from each instructor. Thank you. Seriously. Sometimes, you get lost in the routines of yoga studio that you've never been to, but here, everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. Alexandra's classes were truly perfection-- a great balance between challenging postures, inversions and balances as well as restorative pauses. I was in my first trimester and Alexandra was not only informative, but hands on with adjustments and modifications, explaining thoroughly with each change and this was a regular Hatha class, not a prenatal. It's impressive how much attention she gives to each student and how gracefully she maintains the flow and intensity of the class. Dope!!! What a blessing to have randomly found her classes! Highly, highly recommend. I also went to a few prenatal classes with María and she was wonderful too! I think it was a bit too early for me to be in those classes though, because while incredibly informative, I still didn't have the belly limitations. Great to learn for the future though-- applicable as the belly does grow Clean, spacious studio with natural light. Lockers for your belongings if you'd like (but bring a loose 1 euro to lock the door-- you'll get it back, but you'll need it to lock it up). I didn't use a lock and was totally fine. Great studio!!

Traveling from the US and speak minimal Spanish…read more(enough to get me by) used a lot of google translate between the front desk and myself to sign up. BUT the most friendly people I have ever met and I managed to successfully workout in a Spanish only Pilates class. I am very self aware and have great body awareness because I am a part time fitness instructor so it was easy to follow along. Plus if the instructor knew English's word she would instructor in Spanish and English! I also became really good friends with another member and we have continued our friendship now that I am back home! When I go back to Spain I will be sure to visit again! Loveeeed it so much

Dona 10 is a decent studio, but I don't think that I will be back. My issues with the place are…read morethreefold; first of all, you are unable to book a reformer Pilates class, though "forma" Pilates in all its misleading glory is available so that created some confusion. Secondly, Dona 10 (the location on Carrer Corsega) is quite out of the way of nearly anything that many would consider convenient (it is on the far left side of L'Eixample, several blocks away from Passeig de Gracia). Finally, while the instructor was incredibly sweet and friendly (and the rest of the staff polite and helpful enough) the class was, in my opinion, not nearly rigorous enough for it to be worth the money. If you are looking for a moderate, calm session and don't mind being a bit out of the way Dona 10 is perfectly adequate, but for anybody with a taste for a little intensity and a more difficult workout I would try another spot. With that being said, I can only speak to the reformer classes, as they also have several other mat sessions which for all I know could be perfectly enjoyable.
